Everything about this scene reminded me why Luke is one of the best villains ever. He was just a broken kid who got taken advantage of. And Clarisse’s line reminds me of why I love her so much. She was also a broken kid who stayed strong.
The anger in Luke's singing was so good, damn. I felt that. And honestly, the Good Kid reprise will never not give me chills. Also, Grover at the end LMAO
YES! Like that reprise makes you really feel sorry for Luke, which even the book couldn't do lol he's so desperate to be a good kid and has just finally given up

I saw the musical today (the show is on tour) and the fight scene was SO different because before annabeth enters there’s an actual fight!! with the whole choreographed combat and singing and everything! it makes it so much more suspenseful and when annabeth comes in, luke had just got the upper hand, so when she takes away his weapon it’s that much more serious because it had more time to build up. and after she takes the weapon instead of just stabbing percy and running off, luke pleads his case to the other campers and chiron who gathered. THEN he stabs percy and runs off. i don’t think there’s anything wrong with the way the scene is in this video, and if i hadn’t seen it differently i definitely wouldn’t think of it, but it’s amazing how all the edits they made on the show made the whole thing perfect

It’s amazing how well James Hayden Rodriguez’s voice fits so many people’s idea of Luke. Personally, I always pictured Luke as looking like Jake Abel but sounding like James.
