Nate Tochterman haha Moët and Hennessy is legit in the LVMH name but yeah I feel what you mean that’s why I said “& more.” They own perfume brands, jewellery brands... it’s endless
And they now own luxury hôtel. They rebranded almost all of them as Cheval Blanc, which is actually a Bordeaux grand cru wine they own. They also own retail shop, online shops, cosmetics. That's actually their force, being present at every level of the suplly/retail/value chain. That allow them to expose you to an whole customer experience
So yeah i can confirm about the employee dedicated sales as I work for LV in Paris. We basically have a website we can access whenever we want where they put up what they have in stock for the employee sales and we get from -50% to -90% discounts depending on the nature of the item we want to purchase. For exemple there's several months I bought some Fastlane Sneakers for 57€ instead of 600€ (The discounts are that crazy on the shoes). In addition to the private website we benefit of, they do 2 big sales throughout the year (as mentionned in the video) where they sale the outdated products and there are WAYYY more items than there is on the private website. This year the discounts have decreased though but it's still affordable.
I honestly love this channel, I dont wanna say the channel is underrated because it shouldnt be but its underrated! Can't wait to see when this channel reaches a million subs down the road!
Just found this channel from the Polygon vid about JRPG Fashion and i am loving it! You radiate positive vibes. I'm not very stylish myself but still looking forward to your vids :)
a3zth3tikz Not only that but they’re also creating a large majority of it in the US, which is the least desirable region (after France and Spain) on the resale market. I stopped buying it in the mid 2000s because the canvas is cheaper and it isn’t as desired on the resale market.
Actually, it's a family holding, and it's divided between bernard arnault and his children (a daughter and 3-4 sons). And the holding actually just own 50plus% of LVMH, not the whole company. They have an extremely intricate financial engineered setup, with holding of holding of holding. Through, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Panama, etc...
Burning all unsold items, and at the same time lvmh talking about sustainability and appointing Stella McCartney as special advisor for the conglomerate. Sounds hypocrite? Naaaahh,... maybe
Not sure if you meant to joke BUT the actual pronunciation is closer to "Vueey-Ton" than "Va-ton" unless you're French and your just making fun of the pronunciation because you can say it better.
Haha quality control, checked a wallet in 3 different stores and bought it online. All of them had poor quality. There is even one wallet sitting in the store which print has flaws...
Something that everyone should know and you keep showing pictures of it. The LV Monogram that is most often seen (brown base with gold monogram) is BONDED CANVAS not leather. One of the few reasons that LV is so profitable.
@@user-one8707 bonded canvas is cloth (usually cotton) + PVC (plastic) on the outisde. It is much cheaper material than leather (not like leather in itself is that expensive either). Also PVC ages and cracks, and cannot be repaired; unlike leather which can be moisturized and reconditioned.
@@user-one8707 hahah how do you think they make so much money? not only sell you brand, but also sell you cheaper things. All monogrammed items (Gucci, MCM, LV, etc.) are the same. They do have better quality control but it is from top quality when you purchase monogrammed canvas. If someone likes the item, all the power to them, instead of saying it is because someone cares about quality.
@@sharingiscaring53 mmmh the bag were juste added some oled screen... For the sneakers it was fiberglas plus oled. They showed all those "innovative" products at vivatech.
I just walked into saks fifth ave and bought a $550 Louis Vuitton wallet. You can never be sure. I walked past street vendors selling $20 LV and Goyard wallets. I might do a comparison video.
LV is counterfeited for many reason but a significant one is their lack of serial numbers, like other high-end brands. The date codes aren’t good enough any more.
Great video I myself am making a video atm about LV and Virgil Abloh. Btw can you please tell me what is the instrumental you used for the 2nd half of the video
Marie Louise von Österreich (Napoleons 2nd wife) died in 1847. So Vuitton could never have worked for her when he opened his factory in 1854. Or did I understand anything wrong?
*France has adopted laws preventing the burning of unsold clothes so just like Burberry which did the same thing Louis Vuitton did with burning unsold goods they legally cannot do that anymore which is fantastic considering that’s disgusting and horrible for the environment and we are trying to save what we have left and trying to be more sustainable so yeah let’s see what happens now with all of these luxury companies and their unsold goods at the end of the seasons*
Now that you say it, it sounds more legit considering they have to test the bags and one day while carrying all the papers in a bag before a test, it didn't pass :/ 😅
@@peterluke8773 Lmfao wanna bet? Virgil Abloh creates mediocre designs at best. The designers behind what few good things come from their runway shows and retail collections not only pales in comparison to its competitors, with Gucci and Dior being occasional exceptions, but are also attributed to a somewhat large team of designers working under LV.
@@brandonkey181 I strongly disagree and the sales and brand value increases support my claim about Virgil. He is easily the best designer currently, Gucci and Dior are doing excellent things right now. But Virgil is a walking God.
@@peterluke8773 Oh shut up. Louis Vuitton isn't actually doing that well. They're almost neutral in growth I believe. His designs and so BORING and whenever he does something... well, not boring its a design he BOUGHT and slapped onto a garment. Fucking hell.
Their quality of the canvas has dropped in the past decade Any handbag made in the USA is a definite no go for me, more quality issues from them compared to the ones made in France or Spain
How the fuck do you buy a fake Louis Vuitton bag you go into the store and buy it you don’t buy it from a god damn street person and think it’s actually real
Wait wait wait . Hold up . Do you own any LV? 1st u said all LV leather bags are contrasted with vachetta leather .... MOST LOUIS VUITTON BAGS ARE CANVAS .... coated canvas ... as in pimped out cotton.. and almost every bag has vachetta leather . Then you go off saying all the bags are fire & water proof ??? Ma nigga 😂😂 where is this info coming from ? I can’t 😂😂😂😂
The monogram is coated canvas which is water resistant, developed almost 200 years ago. The actual handles are vachetta leather, which is the contrast I was referring to. Thought that was evident via the pictures but I guess it wasn't. The bags also use a special PVC piping that resists fire. Per the video it was said "LV says it's proof", I was careful to say resistant. And for the record I own 2 LV bags, and 2 wallets not that it matters, but you did ask. In any case information is public record: coutureusa.com/blogs/news/10-myths-about-authentic-louis-vuitton-bags Peep #10. That being said I fully expect a retort that proves more your point and how I'm totally wrong. That's usually how these things go. Or you'll just ignore it knowing this convo and this response means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. It's not even that serious. Even though this response seems like it is...it's really not though. Be easy bruh. ~Reggie
