@Psych2go Yes. I remember that I used to hang out with a group of "friends" a few years back, I was a ghost to them. Every time I tried to speak, they ignored me or interrupted me, or when they finally noticed me they bullied me and called it "teasing". but the final blown of that was when another friend of theirs decided to join us. He shaken hands with everyone but when my turn came he ignored me and he has shaken hands with the next person. Then I understood that I don't fit in and never met them again. I've deleted them from my life entirely

Unfortunately, I've been in this situation since 3-5 months ago.. Number one, two, and the last hit the nail on head! Doesn't make it any easier though. 😢 The good news is that the sun still rises in the morning and life goes on. Their loss, and I hope that they are happy. My “friend” Victoria was the most popular girl in my old school. We were friends for 2 years when she started spreading rumors about me that were not true. My other friends turned on me and I got bullied a lot. It got so bad I ended my friendship with Victoria and my friends who believed it and transferred to a new school. I made new friends who were not backstabbers and life is now great. If you feel like someone is manipulating you, end the relationship now. They’re not worth your time. I was watching these videos in grade 6 because I had many friend problems which was causing a negative impact on my mental health. Watching these videos helped me to get through those. Just got out of an entire group of fake friends, almost every one of them matched every trait listed in this video. Kinda feel dumb for not noticing it sooner but better late than never. Been able to focus all my energy on creating a better life for myself. I hold out hope for a real friendship some day, though.

Been there, done that. Was in a friend group for 5 years with my "best friend" included and they basically completely left me for no apparent reason. Made me feel worthless and really solidified my distrust in people. Story time: So I met my “best friend” when we were in 4th grade. We lost touch for a few years and we met again in 7th grade. We became really close, to the point that people started making rumours that we were dating. Fast forward to 8th grade second term, I started having feelings for him. I told him and he said that he did not feel the same way (I told him in September). I was fine with it. On December 24th,2018, I got a call from one of our mutual friends, she said that him and his twin sister wanted to do a conference call and we did. At first it was fine, we were talking about having a Christmas party, and then they started talking him going out with another girl. I heard the whole thing and cried myself to sleep that night. The next day, he messaged me saying that the girl they were talking about was imaginary and was made up to tell me that I was in friendzone. I forgave him. In January, 2019 he said that he had feelings for me.Let’s just say that we secretly started holding hands when we were walking to the bus. In December of 2019, one of our mutual friends came up to me while everyone leaving to go to the bus. She told me everything about what him and our other mutual friends were doing behind my back. They started making up rumours about me that I was a psycho and needed a mental asylum, which made all of my classmates and friends resent me. The only person that stuck with me was the friend that told me all their plans. They had been going out without me and were planning on destroying my life. Both of us went and confronted him and he kept changing the topic. We did the same a few days later and he had the guts to not even deny it. Anyway, after that confrontation, we beat him up and he did not speak to me for a while. But, he started brewing more rumours about me. I told his twin sister( she is a sweetheart btw) she gave him a good beating. He did not change his actions. So I went and told his parents(they are very fond of me till date), his father specifically. He took his phone away and went through all the messages and confronted him. His father could see right through his lies and they had a huge argument. He came to me the next day and wanted to tell me sorry( like he did most of the time after he did something to hurt me by “mistake”. This time I slapped him and dropped him. Now, I have anxiety, depression and trust issues. Also, I don’t know if that friend is my true friend now because she has been ignoring me. So, better getting a dog than have a shit ton of fake friends.
