Hello! I'm Alex. His videos are incredible and I'm loving his channel. I have a Z30 and I'm discovering a lot of things with you. Thank you for your content. Hugs from Brazil.
I have the kit lenses 16-50mm and the 50-250mm and they are surprisingly very sharp, under the right circumstances. I use the FTZ II with my Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART, and the Nikon 50mm 1.8 G, and the results are great. I usually shoot FX, except for my D500, but I just can't stop taking the Z30 with me even when I have my other cameras in my bag.
It depends. EV is really important for using auto exposure settings in a changing lighting environment when you want to shoot fast - eg. vlogging in the snow where a face is likely to be underexposed in-order not to clip the bright white snow. If I'm shooting in manual mode, I don't find it as useful.
Hi! Is it a problem that it has no viewfinder!?!? …. You told nothing about the quality of the sensor. The batteries are a small problem ….. eject a full one, or connect a powerbank😅…… this tiny/ little/ formfactor camera works great. My opinion!
Hi! I agree, I love this camera! The EVF is/isn't a problem depending on use case. If your taking photos, than the lack of EVF should be a drawback IMHO. But SLR EVFs are not a nice way to record videos, so no problem for video shooters. "Sensor quality" is hard to quantify. In my opinion it's a great sensor. It's better than my D7100 sensor, and not *quite* as good as my z6. No surprise! Have you had success powering from a power bank? I don't have many to test - but mine don't charge the camera at all! But I expect you would just need a higher end one than I have (with a higher power output rating). The camera also might be a bit picky about USB cables?
Nikon knows how to make photography cameras. The z30 is no exception. Honestly, photo quality hasn't changed that much in the SLR world for the last 10-15 years but in little ways. But the z30 takes great photos, and the abundance of hard points makes using it very pleasant and efficient to use. Only draw back is the lack of EVF.
Have you had success with this? I tried it but it didn't work with my power bank, but I wonder if maybe a higher end one would work - but I haven't had a chance to try.
I have a new baby on the way the last one wife and I are having. I'm just looking for a new camera to take pictures. It's a plus it does great video. It so damn sexy looking I can't find another camera that looks so damn nice with that grip I know it must feel great in the hands..I don't care about the view finder and I always have my bluetti and jackery handy for charging.
