These are 7 things that I personally never thought of before I started riding motorcycles. I am a new rider so this summer will be my first. Let me know what I might not have considered for summer riding
1 year later i’m a beginner and im going through all your videos. i feel like this is the only real beginner stuff ive seen and its giving me comfort in my decisions
@@kennydominguez4730 thank you for that. I’m happy that these videos are of use to people. That was the motivation behind them and I’m happy it worked out like this.
Good video. I'm currently fixing up a Ninja 650 for this season, so hopefully I get it finished in time. On another note, I noticed throughout your video you ride in the center of the lane a lot. It's encouraged to ride on the left or right 1/3rd of the lane since that is the more grippy part of the road. The center is where rocks and slippery fluids are and you're much more likely to lose traction. stay safe!
You are absolutely right. A nice thing about making these videos is that I can see what I'm doing wrong. In my first one "test run" I noticed I would be right behind a stopped car with no escape rt. not good. Hope you get your bike fixed soon man. Thank you for the comment. Ride safe brother
Thank you for the sub. Appreciate the comment as well. Yea I try to be. It works being extra for some people but honestly if it’s to much I stop watching myself.
My first bike was a Z650 commuting an hour and a half each way to work. Got tired of that interstate drag real quick. Good video with good points. Subbed and hope to see more from you
@@CityNinja650 it makes a huge difference. I traded it for a ninja 1000 because it got cramped after like half an hour. Kinda miss the smaller displacement bikes though. It's a different kind of fun to crank that thing as hard as it will go and not be going so fast you'll dig a deep grave
GREAT VIDEO! You should call these segments "...Because You're A Smart Rider.", where you offer some tidbits of information or suggestions like this. Very sound advise.
Lol. Thank you so much. I am glad I toned down saying that. It’s not bad but sometimes I notice I say it a lot. The “Umms” too. Crazy this is like 4 or 5 months old already. I’m so sad the season is closing. But I do plan on riding in winter when I can. Thank you for the support. Really means alot. 🔥🔥🔥
Hey like your content I picked up a 2020 used black ninja 650 as my first bike last year and I love it. I agree with all your points the wrist thing is a real killer 🤣 so true , ride safe bro
Appreciate that sir. I just took it in for my 1st service, and it’s 30 outside. Man oh man. After a while it was hard to use my levers. Ride safe too. 🏍️
the first service can be done on your own, most of it is just inspection and if you need to adjust anything its in the owners manual. OR if you're familiar with your tools and can identify things from a diamgram, spend the extra $100 or so to get the service manual and do things yourself. you save money and you get to know your bike at the same time. the other tips are typically what people overlook so good job! great video otherwise, you got my sub. keep it up!
This is all true and definitely plan on doing my own maintenance (oil changes, chain cleaning etc)This being my first bike I just went this route. But you are absolutely right. You will really get to know and understand your machine doing your own work. Glad I put out a video that has decent content to get someone with experience to sub me up. Appreciate the comment 🔥🔥🤙🤙
Thinking about getting a 650. Not new to riding, but it's enough for what I need, and starting to get into the sport bikes a little. I'm on an electric thing now. Maybe weighs 400-450. I get blown around on windy days. We had a few warm days, last week, and I was riding at a lean half the time because of the wind. lol
Okay, so 0 things I hadn't considered. Number 6? Hearing protection all the time. Hearing loss is subtle, insidious, and frequently permanent. And Shoei kinda sounds like Showy. I'll give you a like, regardless. My bike is getting delivered Saturday, so keep doing your thing, and I'll watch.
Guy am comfused. In my country this bike costs 8500 euros however the 2024 model is 9800 euros but it has traction control... so do you think it is worth it to pay 1500 euros extra for traction control since am a beginner or i shall get the 2022 since i like the racing colors more?
Hey bro, love the video and the tips. I am looking forward to purchase the KRT edition this summer. Can you please tell me what fuel you use? Like regular unleaded or the premium one and also the mileage it gives please :)
Thanks for the comment 🔥🤙 I run regular unleaded in mine as of right now. I wanna ask my dealership if it’s cool to use something better before I put any in for myself. I get about 58mpg on average and my range says 160+ (literally has the little +) ima fill up today actually to film my next video so I’ll comment again here to give you a more accurate estimate.
All true. I put 1500 just on the first 3/4 of the month. Experienced head wind in the highway and that scared me at first. Got my 650 in January. It was cold ride for more than half the time. You get cold fingers, runny nose, and worse if all riding becomes sluggish. When is hot, it's hot cause you're a super smart rider so ATGATT and if you're like me, you're wearing all black lol. Wind is super loud to where i could hardly hear my motorcycle so wearing ear plugs is a must if you don't want to lose your hearing. Everything is crazy expensive, because again you're a smart rider and so ATGATT and that means money. You want phone mounts, you want a cardo, you want to customize your bike and all of this means money. I won't lie to you, I spent close to 1.5k on the bike and safety gears, not including maintenence. But I tell you what, riding is fun. Wrist fatigue is real, if you ride as long as I do on any given day, your wrist will scream if you dont stretch.
@@quentinbourne33 if I’m being 100%. 98 This is my first bike so I wasn’t trying to go to nuts. By time I got comfortable enough to do that I started to need tires. I actually just got them in the mail today. I do wanna see 100 on the speedo tho. My luck is get a death wobble lol
@@CityNinja650 In Germany its forbidden and if the Police sees you with it, you might have to pay a little fee. lul. You are only allowed to use it outside of cities, in the night or if the envoirment isnt bright enough.
