Yeah, i am kind of agree with you. But... how do you make a seat what is comfortable for ALL rider? Suspension... yes, even the updated one is not good enough. I just brought home a 2024 Road Glide. Seat - for me- is painfully bad, i am going to put a Mustang super touring on it. Also, i am going to update the suspension to Willbers. Not because it is bad - what i do not know yet - but because i do not want to play with the dial to set the suspension every time my wife decide to come along, or we add more weight to the bike- like tour pack... But, i still in love with the bikes, and i love the company and the community!!! I am a proud Harley owner.
I bought my first H-D brand new in 1977 and still have it. It is an AMF XLH Ironhead Sportster. My buddy bought his 1975 AMF XLH Ironhead Sportster new and still has it. We are proud of our AMF Sporties and whether you like it or not AMF did help to save H-D. At the moment in Scotland they are trying to save the Davidson's cottage where the family lived before heading over to America. It was the Davidson's who paid for the the shed where it all began. Electric H-Ds, no thanks. If the Live Wire is so good why has H-D taken their name from the false tank? Great videos from you sir, keep them coming.
@@roybrazeau3486 🤣🤣 well mine has been a great machine for 47 years of good use and so has my bud's Sporty for 49 years. We must've got a couple of good ones! 😉
Been a Harley customer for 20 years, and still own one. But, I’ll probably never buy another. My triumph is half the weight, price, has more technology, and is more fun to ride. Honestly thought I’d never say that…
My plumber here in Florida has a Confederate edition that was dealer bought. He still has it but had some trouble in Orlando few years back and doesn’t ride it anymore
Sad that people only associate the Stars and Bars with slavery as that really wasn’t the original intent. On a different note, how about the HD boat and snow mobile!
The current plan on the table at government level here in the U.K. is the ban on all petrol ⛽️ motorcycles by 2040 so in 16 years all manufacturers and especially HD are going to have issues. Is Livewire looking such a bad idea now?
I will go electric when Harley starts giving away free bikes and free charges when their bikes can go every 500 miles. Til then, the swamp can kiss my grits
Actually, I can see Harley going hybrid first before full electric in the next 5 to 10 years. But, the full electric is not too far off. I think they have the technology now, but they have to slowly roll it out to the fanbase, so not to scare them off. We might get to a point the gas-powered ones will be phased out, and then your choices will be full electric or hybrid. I think that is more realistic.
@jimmywall7325 I do think that is the process in the interim because it's a balancing act of appeasing the "old" riders (who will eventually die off) and luring in the younger riders. The Live Wire was a perfect example of catering to the under-40 crowd with an all electric bike. Sure, it was overpriced, and sales lagged badly, but it was part of the company's transformation to getting people ready for the future of motorcycles. We all know this is the path all present internal combustion engines will ride into the sunset; it's just how quick we get there is the unknown.
Any company stupid enough to go to full electric lineup will die because of one simple fact. A gasoline/diesel vehicle can fueled, from empty to full in less than five minutes with a result of a 200(motorcycle) to 500(car/truck) mile range consistently regardless of weather conditions.
I'm not sure if making Harley's all-electric is a good idea, people buy Harleys for a reason. They sound awesome. Maybe they could just make electric scooters but not the big bikes, you guys are out of your mind.
I'll be in an old folks home or dead before HD ever goes electric. Charging time convenience of EV's is a big zero...no way I'm sitting for an hour or more every time I need a recharge.
Yeah , Making cars or Motorcycles all electric is a Travesty. I WANT the Sound of The Piped Engine, and the Ride and Joy of Tuning the Bikes to your own specifications.. and being able to rebuild the Engines and Trannies to your Liking . That’s all the Fun of any vehicle… If all I wanted was Transportation.. Bicycles & Horses would still do the job. Humans have always Over-Thought the Difference between need and Want… As For ME, If I don’t want it- I don’t need it..!!! Electricity IS GREAT, to light the house and to see at Night, But I don’t want to Ride a Light-switch.
Maybe they should start selling bikes with well made cranks before they start selling shit none of us want (EV bikes) Clearly they don’t know or care who their customer base is.
I view my Harley like a modern woman. Once you strip off the makeup and hair extentions and sexy clothes, what you're left with is disappointing to look at... I like to ride it, just hate thinking of how it's put together.
Number 1. Be proud of your past. Nothing I hate more than people and companies being weasels and backpedaling to please a few leftist asshats. Number 2. I’m on my 4th Harley. I buy them for the looks, the looks of the motor, the sound and vibration. Plus the Harley community is the best. Number 3 the day Harley goes all electric is the day I won’t be riding them. I can’t stand the current CEO shoe salesman they have running the company.
Important to acknowledge the horrors of slavery. I know everyone in America was involved with it when it was happening and now times important for big companies to acknowledge the inhumanity of slavery! I ride Harley-Davidson® love riding … it’s a new day!
I am against all electric vehicles.the baf mining they have to do to produce those batteries.once everything goes electeic, thats all they need to bring out the bomb that cancels ALL electricity. THINK about that.
I would pay CVO prices for a full electric Electra Glide that could do three hours at highway speed and then charge at DC Fast charging speeds. However batteries really are not at the density for touring motorcycles and both the motor and batteries will need to be liquid cooled as in electric cars. Would be cool to cruise the national parks and have wildlife barely notice ya.
