@cinefix One bonus fact for you. In the beginning of the movie, the radio in the Indian owned mart where shawn usually went was playing some song and news in Hindi language. Later when he woke up, during zombie outbreak when Shawn went for Coke and Cornetto, the radio was announcing in hindi language that the dead were breaking out of their coffins and coming alive. Now that, is the attention to detail Edgar Wright is famous for, he opted to put that just for authenticity and completeness though the average viewer and target audience would have never known what the radio was saying.

Much as I loved Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz was my favorite of the Cornetto trilogy so I'd love to see a '7 Things...' about that one!

I dunno, it kinda sucked. Definately on a downward trajectory from the excellent Spaced, thru the very good Shaun Of The Dead to the so-so Hot Fuzz & awful Worlds End.

Definitely agree! Hot Fuzz is a masterpiece action comedy, and imo Wright's best film.

Edgar Wright is simply brilliant. One of the best directors working today, and Baby Driver solidifies his genius in my mind. It plays as a music video 50% of the time and all the "Wright-isms" are on full blast, with synchronized music, perfectly timed sound effects and visual comedy. Fucking SO happy I'm alive to bear witness to this guy's blooming career, I know he's just getting started.

A thing you guys didn't about why there's a Cornetto Trilogy. Edgar Wright said at a panel in a convention that at the premiere of Shaun of the Dead they served free Cornettos because of the plug in the movie so when he made Hot Fuzz he put the Cornetto plug in order to get free Cornettos at the premiere of Hot Fuzz but they didn't serve Cornettos at that premiere. They did serve free cornettos at the premiere of At World's End.

More facts they missed: Tyres the cycle courier from Spaced appears several times as a zombie outside the Winchester. Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Jessica Hines, Bill Nighy and Penelope Wilton have all appeared in Dr Who. An abstract one: Rafe Spall (Noel from Foree Electrics) starred in Prometheus opposite Sean Harris, who in turn starred in Mission Impossible Rogue Nation, with Simon Pegg. Kate Ashfield starred with Bill Nighy in Guest House Paradiso...which also starred Simon Pegg. As you can tell, I'm a real movie geek!

2 things: 1) that's Simon and EDGAR in Land of the Dead, not Nick. 2) they never considered doing "From Dusk til Shaun" as a sequel. a fan did a trailer for one for the Alamo's "Unnecessary Sequels" contest. I also pitched it to them as a PREquel once when I met them on the tour of Hot Fuzz before it's release and they said flat out "we've never considered sequelizing these characters...all these movies are meant to be one and done".

"The Barbara Connection". Nick Frost's comment to Shaun's mother while on the phone, " We're coming to get you Barbara!" Is a call back to "The Night of the Living Dead"; in which the female lead (Barbara) is taunted by her brother about the creepy yet-to-be-called zombie "coming to get her". A couple things that you could've also said though were that, for one, it was both Chris AND Jonny Buckland (Coldplay's guitarist) had a cameo and that they were there in the first place because Chris is a really good friend of Simon Pegg. As a matter of fact, Simon holds the title of "secret fifth member of Coldplay"!

The episode of Spaced that inspired Shaun of the Dead actually has an impossibility shown in the gameplay. Leon is shown using a shotgun in the opening sequence before he gets to the RPD station. This is impossible as you can only get the Shotgun in the RPD station and can't go back to the Racoon City streets after entering the RPD station.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are the best combo

Its was actually Simon Pegg & Edgar Wright who had cameos in Land Of The Dead, not Nick Frost as stated by yourself. Also Edgar has a voice cameo in Shaun Of The Dead as the Italian restaurant guy Shaun speaks to when trying to book a table for him and Liz. Also, you can see Tyres (from Spaced) as a Zombie bike courier outside the Winchester when Shaun is on the rubbish bin making a distraction. Also, the game they are playing is TImespliters 2, the game consists of dimension jumping zombies. Also, Shaun works at Foree Electronics. and Ken Foree was one of the stars of the 1978 Dawn of the Dead film. There is loads more, people leave them all below!
