It is not a foundation - not meant to be a "full face of makeup" product. It's a "no makeup", lightly smoothes my natural complexion. For me, it's a "I woke up this way!" easy thing to apply with fingertips, add a little mascara and lip tint - and GO. I love this product and the glow/light reflective effect it gives. Smooth on, pat down and streaks and it will stay with you. For a person that does not enjoy layers and layers of makeup - and it's not good for my older skin, either - I love this product and this look.
I agree, but I disagree that this has NO coverage, as this reviewer states. The coverage depends on how much you apply, you can certainly build it up. I had some issues with pilling at first, but found if you mostly pat it on, and use a sponge to even it out once it’s on your face, it’s easy to control. I suppose if you need to cover up a lot of redness or skin issues, this won’t work, but when I see someone who obviously has foundation on, it just looks like makeup, not beautiful skin. If I did need more coverage, I would still use this product and then spot conceal. I adore it, I absolutely love the way it makes my skin look!
I have their foundation and it's "too much" for me. Looked like I had put concealer on my whole face and I could *feel* the thickness on my skin. Personal preference - I just prefer a light coverage and this product does that well. I have a few age spots, but this tint blends them in rather than hides them 100%. Thank goodness for a variety of products! I like my Ilia skin tint!
@@samanthak.mcdaniel7955 ugh, I hate that heavy foundation look, especially now that I’m not 25 anymore. I bought the Hourglass Vanish foundation, it was on sale, guess it’s being discontinued. I’ve heard so many great things about it, and I love Hourglass face powders - but the foundation, it’s so heavy. I can usually make foundations like that work, though, by just applying a very small amount with a damp sponge. And if I can’t make it work, I give it to one of my young nieces.
Just an FYI, Ilia does say on the Sephora page: Upon application, the formula will appear lighter to help guide you in applying SPF. After 30 to 60 seconds, it will dry down to its true tone.
My experience is just the opposite... appeared darker before it absorbed into the skin. It is super shiney at first but settles in within about 30 +/- mntues.
I've been using this for the last month or so and I LOVE it! It gives me a little coverage, just enough to get rid of the redness on my face and it does give me a dewy glowy look. It is pricey but worth it since I don't have to use numerous products. It gives me hyaluronic acid serum, SPF, and the bit of coverage I need.
I use this. I have a very sensitive nose to make up smell and this has practically no smell. It IS NOT a foundation. It has HA, Niacaimide and SPF40. A little bit goes a very long way. If you're looking after your skin already this goes on beautifully, blurs imperfections and looks wonderful. I'm 65 with normal skin. I gave the Diaz and definitely agree, go a shade darker than you think. It can also be added to a foundation for more coverage but with the same benefits.
I love this Skin Tint. I live in Florida and need to protect my skin year round. Also, I use .70 tretinoin and it's moisturizing enough that it doesn't accentuate the flaky skin.
It’s a serum foundation - of course it’s not going to be a heavy, covering foundation. This is a stupid review because you are almost criticizing it for what it’s marketed to do. Also, if you read the product details, this product oxidizes a bit after application so you telling people to get a darker color will cause disappointment What?
Thank you! Speaking about the scent, when I was looking at it in Sephora, I didn’t know that it has this scent. I then asked one of the employees about the scent, if it was characteristic to this tint and he’s like no, never noticed it. Looked at me like I was crazy. 🙄
Omg I definitely noticed the scent. I have to hold my breath when I apply it cause it smells horrible to me but I love this stuff so much. The good thing is the smell does fade away, thank goodness cause I don't think I would be able to wear it if the smell didn't go away. But for me I can't stand the smell.
Do not use long term : However, high levels of HA may also correlate with multidrug resistance of tumor cells, an increased tendency to metastasize, or cancer progression, and thus represent a very unfavorable prognosis for cancer patients.Jan 21, 2023 Role of Hyaluronic Acid in Selected Malignant Neoplasms in ...
i tried a hydrating primer but it wont stop piling all patchy on my forehead i tried without a primer and a cleansed face and it still piled on my forehead i tried using a brush finger and damp beauty blender is it possible it doesnt like my oily forehead my cheeks looked fine but they are dry? 😢
@@amethystfeathers7324 it’s doesn’t matter how “clean” it is if the term means nothing. Companies come up with a list of banned ingredients with no scientific basis. They just give you a fake sense of security that makes you want to buy their products. Silicones for example, are perfectly safe, but companies often include it in their blacklist.
I kind of gave up wearing anything resembling foundation, to be honest. I know I must wear sunscreen during the day and reapply as directed. What’s the point of wearing foundation if I have to put on more sunscreen on top every 2 hours? It turns into this greasy mess. And these SPF makeup products supposedly have to be so heavily applied to get the SPF on the label that you give yourself cake face. Meh…
This is Paige M My account got taken over by the child Lol 😂 how do you color match with freckles ?? I always pick too light of foundation thinking it will match. Make up is hard for me lol
