7 Tips to get Maximum mileage from you car | tips to increase mileage | ASY 

3 tips which I found quite useful and practical to implement 1. Maintaining a constant speed and shifting less gear 2. Removing foot from clutch or break ( I do it a lot so need to work on this) 3. Driving at higher gear and lower rpm

For best mileage you should keep the RPM between 1200 to 1800. Gear shift should happen at below 1800.

Minimize the use of clutch, turn off engine if you have to stop for more than 45 sec, Use single long journey instead of multiple small ones

All points are very good, u should must add one more thing that is engine oil, correct engine oil viscosity is also helpful in better mileage like 0w-20 or 5w 30 is better than 10w 40 you will definitely find mileage difference, always check your owners manual for recommended engine oil

So many times, I get mileage of above 26 Kmpl from Swift Dzire Diesel even with Four Passengers and Fully Loaded Boot. Maximum Mileage is delivered at or below 90 Kmph on Highway.

My Punto Evo Multijet (swift also uses this engine) With full load and 4 passengers My car gave me 29.2 kmpl on highway Mostly my Punto Beauty gave 17 to 20 kmpl in city mostly 18 kmpl

In sabme RPM maintain karne wala point sabse jyada effective hai. High RPM me milage kabhi nahi aata. Log wahi par galti karte hain. Low gear and high speed.

Full fuel tank consumes more fuel? Not convincing especially for petrol cars. Not sure about diesel. But low fuel tank always consumes more oil. When its recently filled or is full, the car seems to be more powerful and give you much more mileage.
