My dad and I played this over and over again.... we couldn’t believe how well he did... it was a special bond between us to watch this together. He died this year and now I’m watching it again without him.
I loved the voice and the person of David, now that he has come out with his truth about his sexuality he just made himself even more admirably unique!!
I remember when I heard him sing this live. I stopped midway walking to my room. His voice is so perfectly magical, crisp, and pure like this song. It’s so rare to find a voice, a singer, and lyrics that all mesh so well together.
i will never forget this performance. still moves me. his faith, hope and humble nature are breathtaking, such a gift to watch.....so good to watch during these kooky times....pure goodness.
So many people look at David as this kid who has a good voice… But David is wise beyond his years… He knows exactly what he is doing! He thinks about what he’s doing, he has, that inner strength of knowing what is important, and how to analyze the meaning, in the lyric of every song and fills it in his gut.!💕
I'm watching again this evening at work and he has as always brought tears to my eyes..absolutely love love this young man!! My granddaughter and I dance around the house to all his songs!! He's amazing!!
Love this guy. Been following him since after idol been following his journey and his music and his love for life I’m 71 years old. My kids are actually older than him and yet I love what he’s doing and I share his music every time I can. David Archuleta is truly timeless.❤
I have been watching this every day the past 4 weeks of this Coronavirus Pandemic!!! It brings me so much peace ✌🏻.... in a stressful world right now. We will get through this... and with FAITH HOPE AND PRAYER we will likely live more “together as one world, one PEACE in Christ. Anything is possible. David Archeleta...stay well. Be safe. We need your voice, your gratitude and humble Happiness. Don’t let anything or anyone get you down. Your music is loved MORE than ever before. You didn’t need to win Idol. You have the worlds heart. I’m praying for your family. ❤️🙏🏼
I still maintain that 2:12 is the moment David Archuleta became a star. Just such a fantastic moment in a truly memorable performance. One of Idol's all-time best, as far as I'm concerned. ❤
Love his version and the the fact he left out the first verse made it that more special! I don't think he could have put any emotion or feelings in those lyrics anyway.
Hermosa version! Nose porq no tenía idea en ese momento del show, lo conocí mucho tiempo después que me bautice en la iglesia y fui a una misión, las misioneras hablaban mucho de él y que estaba sirviendo en Chile.
To answer Randy's question, he didn't sing the first verse because it says, "Imagine there's no heaven" and religious people aren't a big fan of that line.
I wonder why you skipped the line:”...and no religion too...”... but anyway David, John Lennon would be very proud of you. This performance was a masterpiece on all levels. You voice is just out of this world.
How sad he lost..I lived inMO where David Cook was from. I'm sorry but he was no where near as talented as David Archuleta is. We listen to his music all the time..His voice is AMAZING!!
After he heard what Simon said, he decided to applause the other contestants like he was saying the competition didn't finish yet and they're still competing despite David did the best performance that week.
