Hey I listened to your live stream last night and it was fun. I’ve watched a ton of you vids. Keep up the good work because you give some of the best stories and I’m currently typing this in my bed. I’ve fallen asleep listening to your vids so thank you for making me accupied every not. Thanks for the uploads that happen a lot. It helps me not to watch older vids but I usually do anyway. Have a good day and I’ll be commenting on your vids some more since this is my first comment
Beware of strangers bearing gifts. The younger have become to self centred and believe their own hype. Those girls in the Belfast story genuinely believed their own inflated ego and that they were so good looking a 'musician' stopped them in the street to appear in a music video.
Some of the dialogue made the writer sound rather sheltered. Police lying about the other person having "already confessed" to something that didn't happen is very much a thing in the US.
I haven't watched TV for years lol. I'm even thinking of resigning my satellite contract as I really don't actually need it. I use my TV for gaming and movie streams/RU-vid
so if you were the government and people thought this classified yet normal base contained little green men the technology and alliance of whom you have access to...would you tell them you didnt? what if they have some seriously secret intel in there? you think they are going to let a bunch of half drunk neck beards storm in? i'm just going to watch you get arrested maced batoned and shot on m tv and thank the lord i don 't believe bs on the internet.
saafiiiraa lol you think he’s a sell out but Netflix which you have to pay every month and is a giant company aren’t? Sorry you don’t like content creators to be able to make a living when they’re providing this free of cost to you.
Ultimate One I would make the most of the time I’ve got left. Make somebody laugh, do something different, make SOME kind of mark on the world in a good way, party as much as possible....and go out like an “ultimate” fn warrior!
I was detained in England for not disclosing the amount of money I had to a gate agent in Gatwick airport in 2006. I ended up being refused entry for 10 years without a visa. (I'm American BTW) I now respect other countries laws and realize my American rights don't follow me if I leave country. If you do something dumb in another country you have to face up to it. Pray they don't kill you or maim you...
I've seen people get detained, money confiscated, and refused entry in a reality show about Gatwick. There are times when they seize the passenger's undeclared money and do not give it back. Very strange.
I am from El Paso and your first story happens to people wayyyy too often. I laughed the entire time cuz it also happened to my friends and I. You gotta bribe the cops.
Lol ... I'm from Singapore..and the second story cracked me up. I don't doubt its authenticity but...seriously. SINGAPORE is no North Korea. Hahaha And yea, we don't have the mafia here. It's a pretty touristy city and foreigners are always welcomed to visit. Cheerio
I live in Singapore and now a Singaporean. The second story just makes me laugh. No mafia here .. and it sounded a little too exaggerated just for the story to sound more interesting than it should be. I mean it’s not perfect but come on... 🤦🏻♂️ Singapore is crowded with many tourists from everywhere on a daily basis and all are welcome. If you have not been here, you certainly should! 😃 Also it doesn’t matter where you’re from. If you made a mistake the law doesn’t change just because of your nationality. 😂
I'm a true blue Malay Singaporean and what those Americans did. They kind of deserved it. Do not come hollering your wasted ass on our soil. Respect our rules and our home. Get out if you can't. We are people with rules and regulations. That is what makes our country so great. Deal with it.
Erni Mulianie believe it or not, all countries can yell this at those visiting from elsewhere. I can think of a couple of moments I wanted to shake people of Asian heritage/citizenship for being super inconsiderate, arrogant and rude.....We all have that is normal for us.
Honestly tho... WTF is wrong with some "1st world" people... A lot of these stories could've been avoided if they weren't so naive about how the world works
well why is it americans have to know about these other countries while foreign immigrants try to turn us into europe mexico asia pakistan and every other damn thing?
@@d.l.starling6684 first of all, America is a whole continent full of cultures, so I don't know what you mean. Secondly, you can gtfo with your xenophobic bs to another comment, every person should at least investigate the country they're going for vacation and not expecting it to be just like their home country, that's just how things are. And third, immigration has NOTHING to do with going for a vacation to another country while being completely ignorant about everything in that place
Great video, but jeez. . . That Cuban vacation story killed me a bit. I overcame so much with my forcefully conceived views of first world country's inhabitants just to hear this story and feel slapped in the face. You went somewhere out of country, didn't even transfer money, drink right away, surprised you hurt yourself, then even more shocked at the healthcare provided. "What could be worse than a broken leg?" Ugh. Im glad they are fortunate enough to have those thoughts. For many people this reality is an every day. I was impressed an outward hospital had the equipment to x-ray.
I know. They were completely unprepared to go to a foreign country, and totally irresponsible. While it's always best to educate and prepare yourself for proper tourism and emergencies, you are never 100% sure of what's going to happen. Caribbean weather is quite unpredictable, and Cuba has suffered from poverty for decades. And on one last note, getting blind drunk in a foreign country is never a good idea.
I jumped off of a trampoline onto my arm breaking to the point it looked like a z, and while it hurts a lot, it isnt the worst thing out there. Like, I had to wait five hours in the hospital, and it want even that bad. There were so many people that needed to be there more than me, like the guy that was DYING. Those people in the story were pathetic, its not THAT bad, it's not like shes dying from a broken bone. There are people that need to cared for first.
@@bilfbilfbilf agreed. And when OP says "she now has a permanent metal pin in her leg," I was like "would you prefer having a mangled, unmovable leg?" Some people...
Great stuff here! It’s incredible that some of these folks expect that their culture follows them wherever they go and they are caught off guard by different countries way of life. Not surprised that these people end up in negative situations.
I know I’m not the only one who clicks the like button as soon as I open the video since I already know It’s going to be good. Also, I’m a little upset that I missed the live chat last night. Stupid migraines. Great job Joel, as always
The drug runner story: I feel like the original girl he was hooking up with was used as a bait to get him and maybe others involved with the drug running. It seems too coincidental that the largest dealer would find a lot of his business randomly on the street from drunk people trying to get home
It was interesting how in the Singapore story, the person wrote “this story may not be as scary as the others here”. Honestly, I can’t think of many things that would be scarier than being arrested for a crime that could lead to a death penalty in a foreign country, with no idea how you’re going to get out of the situation... if you even could.
I feel bad for the sister that had to go through that with no help for pain, and it’s definitely horrible, but their comment about “what could be worse than a broken leg?” when they told them they had to save the meds for worse injuries, was a little annoying. Maybe someone who is so hurt they are about to die, extremely bad wounds, hurt children, surviving a car crash, and so on. Those are worse.
Yeah, if story #4 isn't warning enough, ALWAYS research where you are going and where help can be located if needed. Always get travel insurance that coveres health. If you're in a foreign country, know where your embassy is.
Jeez, that Irish story. You don't need intuition to keep away from sketchy events, just half a brain-cell and common sense would have done you all the world of good.
Story 2 : Glad to hear a story from Singapore. I assure you my country is not that bad. Please come visit. As what the writer said, be on your best behavior when you're visiting other countries, and nothing will happen. Cheers, from a Malay Singaporean 👍🇸🇬
I do the same damn thing sometimes. lol I was driving 3 1/2 hours after I got off work to one of our mini vacations at Hocking Hills and listening to No Sleep podcast I had downloaded. I usually go to sleep listening to Lets Read, Mortis Media, Being Scared or No Sleep. I had to quit listening to it to continue driving
I very much enjoyed the last story. No creepy, exagerated plot or overly irrational decision making. Just a couple of buddies making a mistake and being wrongfully confident about it. Also, something that could happen very easily to anybody in that situation. More easily than strangers abducting people anyways.
Ok I know it definitely isn’t the scariest BUT WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE BROKEN LEG STORY?!?!!? I was literally coiling in 2nd hand pain listening to that story. I broke my arm and I still remember and can feel the pain even if it was 2 years ago and I was lucky enough to not need surgery. To imagine getting my fucking bone set back with NO ANESTHESIA feels like a fucking nightmare. And this poor girl had to go on a plane with a broken LEG, something u need to use in order to do basic traveling, and now has a steel rod in her thigh and can’t do any activity that requires even the smallest bit of force on her leg. I feel so bad for her and oh my god that is literally the definition of nightmare.
Thank you! Interesting..I just went on a summer vacation..the only scary thing I saw was the after math of a field fire crossing over to Carmaxs lot they lost a lottt of inventory
I have a personal horror story of my own that happened right outside my house. It would be a good 5 min story. How do I give it to you or let you read it?
Cuba trip girls: flip flops are *terrible* choices in footwear. Really no reason to wear them outside of a public shower facility at a pool or gym locker room.
Great narration, came here cuz of your colab with Urmaker, will subscribe as well. Yeah, the Ireland story man oh man "an abandoned warehouse" on its own should cause massive alarm bells FFS!!!!! Leave alone a band making a video asking random girls in the city for their presence.... I don't think that's likely. People can be very naive!
