best stealth tip: go in heavy with explosives and machine guns.. if the enemy are all dead they cant detect you... (lol jk jk. seriously though if you plan to be stealthy than maybe invest in the visual and noise reduction skills)
What ammo to use to get the maximum amout of dmgof my bolt action rifles? Fmj or Ap? Or soft point? What if i use the m14 or the mosin to snipe? Should i use those ammos or have to craft shock ammo?
I find that GZ isn't really a viable stealth game until you've already levelled up quite a bit and have some decent weapons and silencers. I initially tried playing stealthily but just kept getting swarmed by runners and hunters, so ended up converting my build to maximum damage. Stealth is only really a late game option, and even then is rather frustrating. I think GZ missed a trick by not making stealth more viable - it's so much easier to just run around with a LMG, especially since acquiring a few thousand rounds of 7.62 is pretty easy. I miss Tenchu - luring Samurai to their deaths with balls of rice was a lot of fun.
I found that stealth was very effective in the early game; late game all I need is some cover and my weapons can handle the rest. Sneaking around early on gave me the opportunity to scout out enemy positions and score some quick kills; retreating and hiding again when enemies started catching on. Also, I found that a radio, land mine, and some fuel cells led to some of the same results as those balls of rice in Tenchu (which I wish would get a worthwhile remaster, btw).
Staying quiet is the main issue, walk in forest or bushes or just on grass instead of on roads or rocks and you should be mostly okay. Rain and fog also limit how far your footsteps can be heard. It seems like moving on snow or through bushes does not make noises like it would IRL, and the horrible stomping sound effect of walking on stairs does not seem to be any more noticeable than regular footsteps. However, bicycling on roads is so quiet that you can sometimes pass machines without them noticing you until they actually see you. Anything that blocks the view, including bushes, downed enemies, and fog and rain will make you harder to detect, but machines can still know where you are because you made noise.
Nice tips but without a level 5 weapon and specific ammunition tanks won't lose their weapons in some seconds. Beginners will hate this part of your tips 😅
Yo! Just got into this game and found your max stealth build video from 10 months ago. I can't find any info online, so I'm asking here. Is that bug where the higher your stealth percentage, the more they can spot you still happening? Should I still go for just 40% stealth? Thanks in advance!
@@TenebrisInfinite sweet! I appreciate the info. I didn't really wanna have to comb through pages and pages of patch notes lol. Plus, I wasn't sure if the updates on pc were in parity with console, where I play (game pass ftw)
Plz make a video that covers the games history and lore, I've beaten everything including the DLC and still have questions. Theres no videos on the timeline or really anything that happens in the game lore wise. Spoilers are okay tbh, I feel like most people who've beaten the game are left with questions and have a gaping hole in their head as to if theyre going to build on the story any further in the future. Anyway love the vids, great tutorials, I just feel like most of the people who played this game want to know more about the world were playing in and why we should be looking forward to continuing this game past the grind of getting experimentals and clothes. (SPOILERS FROM HERE DOWN) More importantly why the f&%* has no one talked about the screen that Von Ulmer/FNIX has pulled up when you walk into the bunker in the final scene to plant the bomb that he switches off, why have we gone through 2 DLC's and still have no more lore about where these people are and if the story is even going to be wrapped up. I get that FOA said that human piloted machines from a remote location was what they were studying but theres almost no documentation in game that covers this. Very aggravating, anyway see ya in the Discord my guy
The swarming always gets me. I was sneaking past a tank and made an error a d it detected me. Started sprinting to find cover amongst buildings. Turned round tonsee not only that tank, another couple tanks cresting the ridge behind him and about 6 hunters. 😮 luckily i was able to split them up with flares and emp rocket rounds.
@Tenebris Infinite. Tene you b@st@rd! 🤣 Two days after I finally release my stealth videos here on RU-vid, after four years, you do a stealth video. I am speechless😆 At least go and look at them and perhaps direct newbies in their direction, 'cos it's about how to survive early game, before you even have access to stealth clothing. But some commentators have said they wished they could have seen them when they first started out! Nice vid, this btw, and I did learn lots...
I think it could be good if we had a hud similar to the hunter call of the wild as in how exposed and noisy your character is making. Idk but would be super helpful for stealth builds
Dear lord when will they ever fix PS4 multiplayer since this game is trash on Ps4 servers and it constantly crashes over and over and its not fun without multiplayer... Like I was about to make a friend on this game and then boom game crashes instantly... like fr i just wanna give people some experimentals and I cant even play with the game constantly crashing and servers getting shut down cause of peoples version of the game like fr when will this ever get a hot fix for consoles..
waiiitt wheres that suit come from? btw the bow dlc gives stealth weapons: bow, pitchfork, flamethrower (slow on damage but gives mini stuns to small enemies). but lately crafting arrow is the real problem because of the rarity of wood.
I don't even craft arrows, you can find a lot of them in the archipelago region, even more with Salvage skill at Level 2. Wood is not rare if you loot and recycle flares and fireworks and run around a lot instead of using bikes and collect little trees; I do it even when I'm on battles, lol.
@@maimaibiri9045 It works in a way. Its easier to stealth if you really know the game, and the machines. Make your character less visible and quieter with skill points, armor upgrades and suppressors. Play smart, keep your distance and you can create stealth scenarios. Like another commenter said, placing lures and explosive traps, use the way the machines operate against them. You wont be able to completely avoid big battles all the time, but you can a lot of the time.
@@maimaibiri9045also something i didn’t see anyone else mention - there have been many updates that affected stealth, today it’s working quite nicely im only level 10 and I’m able to stealth kill groups of enemies and never be detected using only silencers, and prone shooting and backing off to reposition if they come to investigate.
I use the EXP PVG90, gold PM71 because the EXP KVM59 is no good at close quarters. EXP AG4 and the G49 grenade launcher for a bit of up and over fun for base attacks. All have full gold accessories (mags and barrel add ons etc) with tele scope with full optics for the PVG, I use red dot for the other guns. I've got all the weapons so, rotate them from time to time.
It does. I tested it with my vanguard/marksman build and at least with explosion resistance it does make a difference. I tested on Vallinge Church by shooting a rocket at the wall left of the Plundra were it spawns you, and quitting to menu and returning, to see a decrease in damage.
Like everything they drop at random but they are rare but not as rare the gold Vintovka. I've got 5 or so 5c alg now but took ages (I hoard weapons). The can drop from rivals, reapers (you need to be a level 25 for the drop) base assault or base defence.
The only way to get hunting rifles for me was to grind the daily assignments for weeks to reach the max rewards. Never ever dropped from anything. Same with the 5c pump shotgun.
Some older versions of the game when you're in combat and you turn your back on a enemy while hiding in a building they like. glitch into the building.. it was quite frankly terrifying and paranoia inducing. Glitch ingo
