🧖🏽‍♀️Nighttime Glass skin Routine ft Korean skincare products ✨
My nighttime skincare routine is solely to repair and rejuvenate & your routine should be about that too. By doing this simple 15 min routine on a consistent basis I'm able to assist my largest organ in repairing itself faster and better & achieve such a beautiful glow.
📝SIDE NOTE: This routine includes the Retinol sandwich method. I do not use retinol every day so I'll make sure to upload a video on what that routine looks like when I'm not using retinol.
WHAT IS RETINOL❓Retinol is a powerhouse skin-care ingredient thanks to its ability to help with a variety of skin concerns, such as fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and acne. Technically, the "retinol sandwich" method does protect against potential irritation caused by applying retinol to the skin. Your moisturizer acts as a barrier, which keeps the retinol from penetrating to deep into the skin and reduces irritation. I'm a beginner to retinol so this is why the sandwich method is important for me.

Cleanse your face with cold water - it does wonders for your skin, giving it a bright glow. Splash cold water on your face first thing in the morning, and when you come back from work, and prior to bedtime. Avoid using hot water as it can make your face look dull. In the beginning, I had dry skin and after modifying my skin care routine, I have a combination skin but still looking for a great face wash. So after looking more than 100 reviews and reels on this rice berry face wash by Littlle Extraa, I bought this n can surely say why this one is on everyone's hand because it's so gentle & creamy, soap & fragrance-free. It cleans out skin without drying even for a little and believe me, it also leaves a natural glow on your face so I am in love this product. Obviously, within my budget, so yes, it's a big thumbs up for simple. Feeling blessed to have this.

As an esthetician I recommend putting the face moisturizer/cream after the serums😅 the cream is heavier than the serum so It will prevent the Ingredients from the serum to penetrate properly into your skin. Aside from that your skin looks amazing !!!

Hey girl! Thank you so much for the recommendation. Quick question: when doing the sandwich method… it’s moisturizer , retinol then moisturizer again? So then the snail serum will come before the first initial moisturizer? I’m asking because I read that you can mix the cosrx serum with the moisturizer so I just mixed the two when adding the second layer of moisturizer. @@ainasyue1929yes I was thinking this too. I use my snail mucin before all my serums. I actually mix my snail mucin with aloe. That’s my layer before my ampoule. I definitely do a retinol sandwich too and I’ve tried that moisturizer she has it’s very thin. But my serums go first.❤

Recently came across a sunscreen that suits my sensitive skin. The litttllextra rice berry sunscreen provides excellent protection that doesn't cause any breakouts. Definitely worth trying for anyone with the same skin concerns. Make sure to reapply every two hours, especially if you're outside. I also apply the Vitaminc face serum from riceberry and I am observing that my skin tone is getting better with each day.

Put the essence fiiirst right after you washed your face. Essence works like a toner and prep your skin to receive serum and cream. So 1) wash . 2) snail essence. 3) cream 4) retinol 5) cream

Tip! Try not to rub the products into your hands except for a cleanser,balm,oil ect.! And the retinol..depending on how strong it is, don’t apply to much at once and daily! You look stunning ❤

Sandwich method to apply a tretinoin is for sensitive skin i think For me i just put the essence corsx 96 before my tretinoin that's all Twice a week the tretinoin Comb to oily skin and often with acne 😊

But now that my skin is use to the retinol I no longer do the sandwich method and I do my routine the same way you explained yours. Twice a week and that’s it. 🥰

May I ask is the skin meant to feel sticky, as its first time trying korean skincare, and I feel face is sticky. I cleansed face, used toner, then snail mucin essence serum, then beauty of joseon serum, beauty of joseon eye cream, and joseon dynasty cream. I never experienced this.

I heard its peeling underneath other products ( the snail mucin) Well anyway im Greek we have great Greek skincare that actually works for Greeks and our climate . I dont live in korea theres a whole different climate there. Thats why its suitable their products for them ( hasn't anyone noticed that all their skincare products claim "whitening?" My first step is to always double cleanse just to make sure I get all the sunscreen off my face that I wore during the day. Then have my skin in prepared and ready is when I apply my snail essence. Your face must be dampened before applying the essence though, so I use rose water. Hope this helps 🖤

Hello. In this routine I did the sandwich method for when using retinol. It’s moisturizer, retinol then moisturizer again. Usually when I do the sandwich method I sometimes skip essence or I just simply mix my essence with my moisturizer. But please feel free to do it your way for your skin. 🖤

You don’t have to use every specific thing that I use. Use what your skin is asking for. Use products that have ingredients in it that will help with your acne prone skin. I will recommend the medi heal toner pads and some mixsoon been essence (vegan alternative) if you’re not into the whole snail mucin one from Cosrx. Those are amazing products to have in your line up. Just my opinion and preference. Hope this helps friend 😊🫶🏽

Hey love! Great question, so “If you use retinol as part of your nighttime skincare routine, you can leave it on overnight and rinse your face with water in the morning. Retinol is absorbed within 20 minutes, so you shouldn't need to wash it off with a cleanser. However, some recommend washing your face in the morning to remove retinol before applying other products and sunscreen.” Hope this helps 😊🫶🏽

Hey beautiful! It sure is. My skin definitely changes with the season but I can honestly say from winter -summer Korean skincare products are TOP TIER. Just make sure to read about the product online/the description and you should be good. So for my routine I did the retinol sandwich method which is a skincare technique that involves applying retinol between two layers of moisturizer to reduce the risk of irritation and other side effects. I can’t tell you why but I can recommend a vegan alternative to the snail mucin which is what I use now. It’s the mixsoon bean essence. The essence “Gently exfoliates with moisturization.
