Honestly, I could listen to about anything you have to say. I love the how-to instructional videos, I love the On The Job videos, I love the reveal videos. It's all good. Just keep them coming.
I've always come back to your videos for much needed information. You and Tristan give top tips that make a person think and say "I want that in my water feature too". Also, Thank you for the squirrel or bird moments. Those have given me the best laugh.
Glad it was helpful! Some of this stuff seems so “common sense” to me and I forget it took 25 years to become that. I am working on more of this type of stuff for the future content coming in hot ;)
It is a very “do-able” thing. I would just study up and have a realistic idea of what it will cost in time and resources so you are prepared for what you undertake!
Thanks for the info! We purchased our first home last year in October and it happen to have a pond. I wish I understood how everything works when it comes to ponds and water features! I'd be outside all day changing up my entire little pond. :)
Excellent information John. I really loved this. Started watching the other day and had to stop. I wanted to wait until I could focus on what you had to say. By the way those falls you built at the oasis are killer good. God bless 😊
Great video! You have a knack for dropping content right when I need it. Crane truck arrives tomorrow for our future best-stream-yet. What are your thoughts on having multiple feeds in a stream? You know, so it starts out more delicate and gains volume as it goes. Thanks MDA!
Sounds like an amazing project - love multi sources! And you nailed it, gaining momentum as you go down the hill is the way nature does it ;) Good luck and HAVE FUN! Remember a safety meeting for the simple stuff so your people stay safe! Send me some pics or a link when you are finished ;)
I just found your channel over the weekend and I'm hooked! Beautiful work! Do you all offer design only consultations? We live on 5 acres in Kansas, and have about a half acre hole in the ground we want to turn into a swimming pond with a waterfall and dock. I need help with calculations for an intake bay, biofalls, ect. I hoped to use local contactors and DIY certain parts to hopefully keep costs down:)
Yes we do- I can do design for projects just give us a ring and let Tristan know you would like to speak to me re. A design. He can help you with scheduling a call time ;) (865) 995-1234
Minimum would be 10’ ,15’ would be more comfortable to use large rocks and to stagger them from side to side like John was saying, so it’s not just a staircase
Yes I agree. 15’ gives you room to play. We have gone op to 20’ with a 5000 GPH flow rate but it is a very complex and time intense build for that flow. You will use alot of foam and bib liners as you go wider because of all of the potential places for the water to “sneak out”!
