I own a Blue Heeler. I had an Australian Cattle Dog of a different strain before her. One big thing I disagree with is that harsh punishment will make them “fearful “. Not true. It will make them aggressive toward you. Heelers are one of the least breeds to be physically abused because they fight back!! You might end up going for stitches! You’re right about positive reinforcement. Good vid.
You had an Australian Cattle Dog of a different strain? To your current Blue Heeler? You DO realise they're just different names for the exact same dog don't you? If you're referring to a Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog they're a different breed altogether.
