Might seem like a silly question, but would you rather have Wood/DCL and Jackson or Watkins and a 4.5? I really like the look of Watkins, he’s nailed, is coming up to full fitness and has at least 75+ minutes per game, whereas someone like Jackson, although he is in hot form at the moment, and plays every game, his fixtures run out in GW8, and then even before that with forest and Brighton at home, they are both defensively minded teams. Maybe I’m just trying to convince myself sam I’m not sure😂, but id be interested to get your thoughts on it
Hey mate, how's it going?? Not a silly question at all, and one I will have to decide for myself on WC this week! At the moment, I marginally prefer having that extra depth and having that 3rd striker spot with Wood/DCL, rather than having a 4.5m 'deadspot' on the bench. There are 2 reasons for this.. 1 is that I like Rogers as an 8th attacker, but I'm not fully confident I'm happy to start him every week no matter the fixture at the moment. 2 is that because I have to ride with this team for quite a while, I think I want that extra depth in my front 8 and would ideally like them all to get getting regular minutes. That being said, Watkins is a great option and I do prefer him over either Solanke or Jackson in isolation - so the gamble on less depth could absolutely pay off for you if you choose to go there! In summary, not a crazy question at all!!
Like I should get a haaland draft where I have Haaland, Calvert, and Jackson or Solanke at the front, but could also go with Watkins, Solanke, Jackson as my three attackers and more money elsewhere. but, im probaly gonna going to regret not going Haaland
Hey mate, I always love seeing people betting against the crowd like this, and that sounds like a great forward line too! One thing I would take into your consideration is captaincy, as Haaland will be most people's captain in most of the next few weeks. If you feel like you have a great alternative captain each week in your team that can take him on, then that's fine! Good luck and let me know whether you go No-Haaland or not 😄
@syedabedin1736 I think the resistance on Barnes is because he's not been nailed for long, so his xMins might be at risk at times. Gordon's favoured position is LW and isn't playing well at RW currently, so I can see him moving back there and putting Barnes' spot in jeopardy - but overall I think he is a good and overlooked pick like you say!
