I learnt a lot from your design. My DIY winnower machine did not work well until I made a valve to balance the airflow between the husk and nibs. I will replace your shovel with an additional feeding motor.
Very informative program. Can any juicer be used, for example Breville juicer, or does it have to be the Champion juicer for the purposes of cracking? Thank you.
Hi John, I really enjoyed the video. I notice that your winnower looks a bit different to the old designs that you had on your website (I can no longer find the plans on your website?) Do you have any updated plans available for the winnower? Thanks
I'm surprised that the coffee roaster doesn't remove the husks. I'm going to see if my coffee roaster (Gene Cafe) will, since it removes the chaff from the coffee beans.
As an avid coffee roaster, I'll tell you it won't. Yes, they are both bean coverings but they are vastly different. And I've tried it on a Gene Cafe and it does not work. Due to mixing issues, it doesn't even roast very well.
@@HowToMakeChocolateAtHome Interesting. Well, I guess I'll try it out in my roaster, but if it doesn't roast everything evenly, I'll finish the lighter ones in the oven. Thanks for the info.
Hi, I live in México and was wondering if do you ship your products to México? I'm really interested in the Sylph Winnower because I want to start my small chocolate business I already bought a Melanger
In theory you could use it for beans but I've not tried it. It was built for husk and nib. Also for beans I think it would probably be pretty slow and you would really have to increase the vacuum pressure.
