Janjira Fort is oval shaped instead of the usual oblong or square shape. The fort wall is about 40 feet high and has 19 rounded porches or arches. The main entrance door has a stone carving, which depicts a single tiger that has been trapped by six elephants. It was constructed by Malik Ambar, an Abssinian minister in the service of the Sultan of Ahmednagar, who belonged to the Nizam Shahi dynasty.

Maharathas are not so called just like that. In 1757 Maharathas defeated the Afghanis (Timur Shah Durrani) and after 800 years free Punjab and Sindh area from invaders. In 1761 they lost the battle of Panipat because of the betrayal of Raja Surajmal of Bharatput who was later killed by the same Afghanis. In 1771, the Maharathas came back defeated the alliance of the Afghanis and the Rohilas of UP and reconquered Delhi. In 1778-79 the Maharathas defeated the British.

Why do the people who made this video including the girl seem brainless because in fact they don't know even a bit of the history? Would anyone believe that such people are making a television show on historical monuments of India? Are they Indian or some foreign players are running the show?

And Ranjit Singh betraying the Hindvi Swaraj of Maharathas proclaimed himself as the Maharaja. Maharathas were defeated in 1818 by the British. At that time the Sikhs Maharaja did not fight with the Maharathas against the British. The Maharatha general was sent to Varanasi to spend the rest of his life. The Sikhs were defeated by the British in 1849. The last Sikh king Duleep Singh got converted to Christianity and spent a lavish life in Europe and fathered sons with white women.

From Wikipedia: The specific site of the battle itself is disputed by historians, but most consider it to have occurred somewhere near modern-day Kaalaa Aamb and Sanauli Road. The battle lasted for several days and involved over 125,000 troops. Protracted skirmishes occurred, with losses and gains on both sides. The forces led by Ahmad Shah Durrani came out victorious after destroying several Maratha flanks. The extent of the losses on both sides is heavily disputed by historians, but it is believed that between 60,000-70,000 were killed in fighting, while the numbers of injured and prisoners taken vary considerably. According to the single best eye-witness chronicle- the bakhar by Shuja-ud-Daulah's Diwan Kashi Raj, about 40,000 Maratha prisoners were slaughtered in cold blood the day after the battle.[4] Grant Duff includes an interview of a survivor of these massacres in his History of the Marathas and generally corroborates this number. Shejwalkar, whose monograph Panipat 1761 is often regarded as the single best secondary source on the battle, says that "not less than 100,000 Marathas (soldiers and non-combatants) perished during and after the battle."[3]

This fort seems like marvel like revisiting part history...perhaps it written above some writings in urdu script...." Ji Ji Amjad jajira jalala il' allah sinha ghad hazira rluzu hua jehajana" 6254 a.d. meaning " this fort island ji ji amjad built as we captured this lions' den thus our long journey of sea got started...." So what i saw in past, that a fat muslim man in a UFO caravan from some arab world had came here and laid the first foundation stone from above janjira. Then one elderly person arabic took over after doing wars and established huqumat over the above of the fort, he had three daughters. And they lived to the sides far away and sometimes came to visit their home. So two daughters had some feud over some property with the janjira forefathers...and the third daughter perhaps took some of her part. Then perhaps this fort after fierce battle with angrez french naval or austrians russians or british with marathas took over the fort and their defences weakened. So this fort seems very much same like vashi fort in bombay past...and how napoleonic soldiers conquered it many times. So then the lords perhaps asked the huqumat to build a palace for its establishment in 5033 a.d. And the elder person who died or said his huqumat was over wrote the above lines that in future worlds too when the wars occurs then too this fort was ours only and our guns only were fired. So in these palace fort of murud then lies the nawabi huqumat of india of future world from above that a future warship is given to the rules and the black death of knights plagued this world to its ends. So there were nicer times too when the above janjira was decorated with colorful embroidery chaddars and emeralds woven with golden threads. And colorful scenes memories were there but now covered with marsh fungus layers. So then marathas took the restoration process and these walls looks like marathas fort, as they took all the jewels chests hire mothi to some place ditch and hide it somewhere. Then the third generation when modern times came in 1766 a.d. they again fought a last war and defeated marathas badly and fled away to their second base somewhere. Earlier the world was open and people never exchanged to communities, but travelled in some way from raigadh over from UFOs towards bombay and other places. So the nawabs used to give a marching order to his white troops to march from palace towards jaipur forts to proove their superiority. From vijayapura to jaipur.

Marathas defeated every foreign invader and ruled over entire area of today's India, Punjab and Sindh in present Pakistan and Bangladesh. In 1802-03 the war between the Maharathas and the British resulted in a treaty. At that time Ranjit Singh who was a misldar of Sukherchakia (1 of the 18 misls) in Punjab under the Maharathas seized the opportunity and attacked the remaining misls. 11 misls bowed down to him. 6 others including Patiala refused to.

Then came Gopal Krishna Gokhale who fought and was the guru of Mahatma Gandhi and introduced Gandhiji into the freedom struggle. Finally, the British were thrown out in 1947. The first and the oldest light infantry regiment of the Indian army is the Maharatha regiment. Another Maharatha who fought the Khalistan terrorists was general Vaidya. Later he was assassinated by the Sikhs.

But the Maharathas rose again in 1857. Nana sahib, the son of the Maharatha general who was confined to Varanasi, along with another Maharatha Rani of Jhansi Laxmibai Karhade and Tatya Tope and the Scindias fought again for Hindvi Swaraj. They were defeated by the British. The Maharathas were still relentless. Then came another Maharatha Bal Gangadhar Tilak who kept the freedom struggle alive and fought saying 'Swaraj is my birthright and I shall have it'.

In 1736, Siddis of Janjira set out to recapture Raigarh from the ravaging forces of Baji Rao. The siddis were forced out of Janjira like rats out of a hole. On 19th Apr, Chimnaji attacked the Siddis during the Battle of Riwas. 1500 Siddis including their leader Siddi Sat were killed. Peace was made in Sept, but the Siddi's were confined to Janjira, Gowalkot and Anjanwel. After that the Siddis fought on behalf of the Maharathas against the Mughals. Janjira was not invincible for the Maharathas.
