7-Year-Old Tortured to Death with Hospital Visits 

How could the medical community LET this happen?? Who is in charge here?? This just makes me sick and heartbroken!

This proves the American medical system is a BUSINESS. These doctors should be held accountable... I blame the mother, yes, but also the doctors. I am truly baffled as to how this happened. This poor little baby is in a better, safe place.

Tragic. I can’t even swallow the fact that a surgeon would do these by-pass surgeries without more observation and evidence of need.

“I’m hungry” Such sad last words of a healthy girl who’s mom denied her actual food for most of her life. All the while everyone thought she had digestive issues. It’s horrifyingly ironic. Rest In Peace Olivia.

We need to start holding EVERYONE responsible. These doctors are just as horrible as the sick mother .

This makes me sick to my stomach. My son has a very rare disease and we fight so hard to stay out of the hospital. Absolutely unimaginable!

As a black woman I can't convince my doctors of ANYTHING. If it cannot show up on a test my doctors act like my pain or symptoms aren't real. But this woman was able to convince doctors to do all this including surgeries. This is horrible. I'm so sorry this baby's life ended like this.

Multiple doctors stated they didn't believe Olivia was terminally ill. Then how the heck she still had TWENTY-FIVE SURGERIES?????? 🤯

This was practically first degree murder in my eyes. Don’t even give her 16 years, give her life in prison.

This has to be one of the most heartbreaking stories I’ve ever heard. Nearly everybody failed this little girl not the grandfather not the relatives that didn’t know everybody at the hospital as well as the mother. 16 years is not long enough and the doctors should be held accountable.

This is the fault of the doctors too! There's NO REASON a doctor would or should allow this many unnecessary surgeries on a child when it's simply not needed. These doctors should also be charged! This is malpractice and lack of awareness or care on this child's medical history.

What about the doctors? So did they not once realize that she's not showing any signs or symptoms that her mother reported? They should definitely be charged as well

If a man did this he would get a life sentence! Why is the justice system in America so prejudice?

I really do understand that doctors need to be able to rely on parent reporting, however, signing a DNR, choosing hospice and essentially starving a CHILD that you have absolutely no scientific/medical proof IS EVEN SICK, is beyond negligent!! These doctors need to be held accountable!

My mother used the criminal justice system and the medical system to lie about me, not for the attention, but to put me through a stressful ordeal so I would learn my lesson not to dare to be independent. What I went through because of her lies was only an inconvenience. It could have been much, much worse. I was a teenager (14 - 16 years old) when she lied to cops and doctors, and they still believed her. It happens every day.

Hearing the grandfather’s story made me sick to my stomach. The little girl telling him she was hungry and not being able to help! So incredibly sad!

No more pain little Olivia, rest in Heaven sweetheart.

The doctors are grossly incompetent and should be struck off if they allow surgeries be performed on the say of a mother whom has NO medical training the mother should be locked up for life and never be allowed custody of any child!

The hospital staff that signed off on this should be facing prison too. The mother was a monster sure but where is the accountability for the hospital that tortured and allowed this poor girl to die?

"Convinced doctors"? How the hell do you convince doctors to prescribe a medication like Keppra, without them doing a thorough examination or actually witness these seizures? An EEG would show if there was any seizure activity on the brain or abnormalities. I'm flabbergasted. The mum is a piece of s**t, no question about it, but the doctors need to be held accountable as well. 16 years? I hope she suffers in prison.

OMG! I have Crohn's Disease - My son has Crohn's Disease...but there are tests and diagnosis that comes with treatment like she went thru. What the h*ll happened? I can't get pain meds when I NEED them, but you have doctors and surgeons placing and removing feeding tubes based on what a mother is saying?!?! I think there are some Physicians that need to be held accountable also!

All it would have took to stop the torture and death of this little girl is observation. Why not admit her to hospital and observe her to see what symtoms she had. Doctors should treat children according to their symptoms not what a parent says. This hospital is as responsible as her mother. You were here for a moment and then you were gone, fly high butterfly.

I have 2 daughters and thinking back to them at that age brings me so much joy. You will feel anything as gratifying like when you get home from work and they are so genuinely excited to see you.

Wow I mean nothing is wrong with listening to the parent but as doctors it’s their jobs to LISTEN TO THE SYMPTOMS but also RUN THE NECESSARY TEST AND CHECKS to find out. It’s people like her that ruin it for the rest of us who actually have our children’s best interests at heart and hope doctors listen to us when we bring in our obviously sick kids. If they didn’t see an illness they shouldn’t have been so quick to put her under the knife. Admit her to a hospital and wait to see it for yourself especially if mother is complaining it’s happening all the time.

I feel for this poor little girl. The hospital spent no time in inquiring about the parents munchausen by proxy? So awful they allowed this abuse to continue and were a part in her murder!!!

Take away those doctors medical licenses. What about the nurses and case managers ? How did no one catch this ? I don't understand how these "doctors" could do these procedures ? What a horror. Torture , murder and only 16 years ! Shame .

The side effects of Keppra is already harsh for people that DO have seizures, I can’t imagine how insane that had to be for this poor girl that DOESN’T have seizures.

The doctors have to do all kind of testing before, and if they find nothing then there is no surgery.. Sounds like the doctor was getting some kind of kick back off the surgerys he was doing...JS

I don’t understand how a Mother could do this but also be able to tell the doctors what to give her Daughter and what operations she must have!!! Even down to telling the doctors she wanted a no resuscitation on her Daughter and turned everything off!!! HOW WAS SHE ABLE TO DO THAT!!!! 🤯🤯🤯 Why didn’t the Hosptail get a court order on the little girl so that so called “mum” couldn’t MURDER her Daughter!! I hope that so called “mum” gets the D sentence

The mother never said she was terminally ill. She said she had digestive issues. I've delt with Dr's tending to my child. They were just going to do things that didn't need to be done. I literally had to ask them not to give rounds of antibiotics to my newborn unless they knew for sure that there is an infection and that they were needed. And turned out there wasn't a need. Many other things like that during the visit. I don't trust the doctors to be honest they have their business to protect. It's unfortunate that whatever they say and the media says is exactly why people will believe without ever hearing from the mother herself

How do you “convince” a medical professional to perform surgery on a perfectly healthy beautiful baby girl?!? This monster needs a lot more than 16 years 😡 my heart hurts for PawPaw 💔he truly loved that little girl. My belief here is that there needs to be some big changes to how medical cases are handled. This baby girl should not have died and I believe that there is some responsibility on the health care professionals

16yrs is NOT long enough. Yes her mom was sick w/Munchausen by Proxy but I have never heard of any mom getting help for it & the result ends in abuse of a child & in this case murder. The Drs need to be held accountable in some way as well tho. THEY are the experts & SHOULD be trained to recognize it. But the moms usually go from Dr. to Dr. with no medical records so again this makes it hard to see. It's a HORRIBLE mental illness that NEEDS more attention/help ect... RIP beautiful girl!❤❤❤

This reminds me of that one story . I can’t remember her name but it was a high profile case and the mom would lie about her daughter having all kinds of medical issues . The daughter ended up killing the mom and still is in jail to this day . She was on Dr Phil too.

Why aren't the doctors charged...they are suppose to be professional and they can't tell someone healthy from someone sick... pathetic.

I'm in love with that little girl. Really a tragedy.

The best sentence would have been the rest of her daughter's life in prison. Turner was only caught because a doctor put 2and2 together after she complained her other daughter had other problems and had been treated at another hospital. That doctor contacted the hospital to request the child's records to assess the situation, the hospital had never heard of Turner or the girl having treatment for cancer. The doctor then gets straight on the phone to social services to report possible medical abuse. The older girl is placed in a safe place with relatives and Turner. If all that had been done as soon the first suspicions were raised with the first child, this would've been a child abuse case and not first degree murder case.

Pisses me off that prosecutors dropped the murder charge and all she got was 16 years after killing her daughter. She didn’t just kill her slowly by starving her to death but put her through endless hospitalizations and unnecessary surgeries! Evil
