Yes you both took the correct decision. I am a US citizen and I live in kottayam ( Manarcadu). I have my own house. My husband passed away 5 years ago and live alone with a servant. She doesn't stay at night. Sometimes I feel so hard to bandle emergency dituations and I have to call for help. I don't get help immediately.It's not easy to live alone in ahouse independly. I may also consider choosing this place in few years. I know this place. Good luck to both of you. God bless you.

പ്രായം ആവും മുൻപേ ഞാൻ നാട്ടിൽ വന്നു നാട്ടിൽ നിക്കാം കൊച്ചിനെ നാട്ടിൽ സ്കൂളിൽ ചേർക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അമ്മായി അമ്മക്ക് അവരുടെ പ്രൈവസി വേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. റിട്ടയേർമെന്റ് ആവുമ്പോൾ ആണ് റസ്റ്റ്‌ കിട്ടുക അപ്പോൾ മകനും കുടുംബവും വന്നു നിൽക്കുന്നത് ശരി ആവില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാൻ അന്ന് ദുഖിച്ചു. എന്താ ഇങ്ങിനെ എന്നു ഞാൻ അവർക്കു വീട് വരെ പണിതു കൊടുത്തു.. അതിനു ശേഷം എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞു വളർന്നു യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ ആയപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ജോലിക്ക് ചേർന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ അവരെ ആരും നോക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നു നാട്ടുകാരോട് പറഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്നു. കൂടെ മകളും കഥ പറയുന്നു. ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിൽ അഡ്മിറ്റ്‌ ആയാൽ ഉള്ള ചിലവ് ഒക്കെ നമ്മൾ വഹിക്കും മറ്റു സഹായവും പറ്റുന്ന പോലെ ചെയ്യാറുണ്ട്. ആന്റി പറയുന്നത് വളരെ ശരി ആണ് ഞാൻ വയസ്സ് ആവുമ്പോൾ ഇങ്ങിനെ റിട്ടയേർമെന്റ് സെന്ററിൽ ജീവിക്കാൻ നേരത്തെ തീരുമാനിച്ചു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.

Well said.My mother went dementia state very difficult to take care including homenurse we arranged but it was not sucess she went day by day worse so decided to keep her in a carehome with payment. She passed last month.We kept her carehome but our society cant accept people blamed us they kept their mother in a orphanage ,didnt take care like many things ..We are sure that 40days she got good care from them...May God bless you Aunty..You did best..

People often have preconceived notion about retirement homes(,moneyalso matters). I think it's convenient in all ways.So much positive vibe from you madam.To calm the mind yoga is very good, becoz we expect elderly people to be mature,but some remain the same (eg always complaining,never satisfied with any thing.)Hope this video becomes an eye opener. I have been following you since few months. I came to USA some 17-18 years ago as a nurse when I was 48 years old. I worked so hard to get my daughter settled and now she is in a good position with her two children and family. I had to resign my job 3 yrs ago because of my husband’s health issues. I am now going back and forth helping my daughter’s kids and my husband. Now I am 65. I am also looking for a retirement home for my husband and I. We also visited Kerala retirement home and stayed there 3 days. It was fantastic, my husband is still working and I am only 63. After his retirement we will also make a decision. Which community is this one. We visited Bless , it’s supper

Yes Mam. We’re here in Dallas, Taking care of my mother in law with Alzheimer’s. I am a nurse working nights. Me and my husband is the one taking care of her. But one thing is right. We’re are stuck , we cannot go together to attend any function. God bless you for your decision

I like the ideas of ur choice of retirement life ,but I don’t like the medical facilities in Kerala.Any way u have ur partner & u r not that old& u r in good shape & spirit. I don’t understand that what they are going to get out of that? That kind of people are trying to make happy outside and totally stressed out inside. That’s how , it’s easy to get decease and can live unhealthy. The way you talk and act, I can tell that you are really happy inside and outside. That’s the happiness of our life. For the happiness of our life, sometimes we have to make right decisions at right time. We are coming to US or other advanced countries for the future of our children. Most of the families are successful in their journeys. Our children can attain good positions and they can live better. You choose the right decision. I really admire your decision. We can never forget our country, India.
