It’s no secret that boy loves cartoons, and those boys tend to grow up to be men who love cartoons.
Sure, they might go from watching Rugrats and Doug to watching Family Guy and Archer, but the joy of watching an animated comedy will never grow old.
Cartoons are a huge medium for expression since they can literally express anything. The ability to animate the action creates the freedom to do whatever you want, like having a wallaby and a cow who are best friends in Rocko’s Modern Life or an underground society of beasts in Aaahh!!! Men of all ages often find connections with the underlying themes of comedic stylings of their favorites characters, and they make great subjects for tattoos since they are already in a drawn format.
Some men find connections with cartoons that are out of the public eye, like those on Adult Swim or even the standard Cartoon Network. Rick from Rick and Morty is a truly relatable character, but not because he’s a genius who can do just about anything using science. That’s the great thing about cartoons: their variety through time and theme. It only makes sense that there would be cartoons aimed specifically at adult men when those men grew up watching cartoons.
