When the red Camaro takes off that audio cut is 100% Steve McQueen's Mustang from Bullit. I have it on DVD I'd recognize that exhaust Note and the double clutching anywhere.😎👍
They did the same thing in the movie The Seven-Ups 1973. And the movie McQ 1974 used the engine soundtrack from Vanishing Point 1971. To me it is just as bad as turning a starring car into a different car six times in one car chase.
You can also hear parts of it in the challenger in 2 fast 2 furious, it's very brief but they did use parts of it. Those sounds has been used so many times one could make a whole library of films and shows that used it.
That guy in the Cutlass looked only mildly inconvenienced that a bunch of drunk hooligans in a Camaro just blasted into him and took off. "Oh goodness, well I sure do hope they come back so we can exchange insurance information."
The people who worked at GM at the time must have loved hearing their Chevy engine sound replaced with a Ford engine sound particularly the 390 GT from Bullitt. Yep those hardcore Chevy guys must be hating it😁
that's how they made B-picture car chases back in the day. Re-cycled engine notes from Bullit, a few Wilhelm screams out of the can, and plenty slow shots sped up.
I don't think I've heard of this movie, but it sure looks awesome to me! I also admit, awesome competition between Camaro and Corvette, both great cars from Chevrolet! Matter of fact, I have some Corvettes and Camaros in my collection!
@@meesumhaider1177 Yes, I'm sure I can. Matter of fact, I actually have made a series of my own Car Chase movies back in 2011 and 2012. Eventually, they were all spliced together in 2018: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pwb2u5FXC5w.html
Dubbed over voices (English to Italian?) and car sounds. Anything with Don Stroud is sure to be entertaining. I don't get the winter gear with the top down though (camera work is easier in an open Corvette versus a closed top two seater. I own a convertible and have yet drive it in the late fall/winter with the top down. No prudent.
Don't have to understand the language to know what they were saying! Those two cars shouldn't be treated like that even back in the day. I think that vet should have big block in it with the hood and should be able to walk away from that Camaro. But in any case the thugs got what they deserved.
I have an english copy but the picture quality is poor so I attempted to lay the english audio over the better quality Italian clip but it wouldn't sync up correctly after the first half minute.
Death Weekend (released in the USA under the title The House by the Lake) is a 1976 Canadian horror/thriller film. It stars Brenda Vaccaro and Don Stroud and was one of the first films from Canadian director William Fruet. The low-budget production was shot in rural Canada and at a studio in Kleinburg, Ontario, Canada.
