Time for urban fishing! In this one, I am catfish fishing a small urban creek! This creek is loaded with channel catfish and blue catfish, and even some flathead catfish!
I spend all day on this creek trying to catch some monsters, and I end up having a great day with lots of catfish action.

@@TheDetroitman20 I live on the Gulf of Mexico, in the Mississippi Delta. I grew up in Florida which probably has the best saltwater sports fishing. It's not too bad here at all. Lots of big fish. You would love fishing here. I don't know anything about Wisconsin. You'll have to take a vacation one day.

Enjoyed the video. Haven't been fishing since the mid 1980s. Unfortunately I have have hearing problems so wasn't able to quit hear what you were saying. That was the coolest, calmest snapper ive ever seen!! Like you two are old fishin buddies and have been fishing together her more than a few times together lmao!! It must be scary wading in a creek where you could potentially trip over one of those massive snapping turtles. Hard to believe there are so many big catfish in such a small little creek. Great video as usual!

Not getting on your case with that big one you lost but your trying to horse that big catfish in like a bass or peacock. When you pull that hard and they spin, thats all it takes to rip that soft lip. Play the big ones down. Never force a big cat to the surface. If it's a blue he will come up on his own, if it's a flat he's gonna dig. I know the challenges of being on the bank in a creek with challenges everywhere. Tight lines brother

I was fishing on a pond in the 1980s and caught a cat fish that was in the 20 lb. range and he had about 50 fish hooks in his mouth with broken line on many. I put him on a stringer and took about 7-8 hooks out at a time, placed him back in the water on the stringer for a few minutes at a time and continued the process until he was hook free. I can't confirm but I think he waved at me when I released him. It made me feel good too.

Fishing, these days... I would have flipped catching a fifteen lb catfish when I was fishing in my younger days. But we didn't have RU-vid. I remember learning to put whole baitfish on huge hooks for lingcod and rockcod in the ocean. The bigger the bait, the bigger the fish!

Love the snapping turtIes, we don't have alligator snappers, just commons but they get pretty big too. Feisty attitudes from some of them 😂 but I respect aII of God's critters & try to keep them from getting hit on the roads when the femaIes are Iooking for a pIace to Iay eggs. ❤🐢 Great video as aIways !

My PB kitty is 25 or 30lbs(didn't have a scale) flathead and caught on a Zoom Ol' Monster worm lol. When I try to catch catfish I don't get a bite since I have no idea where they are at the lake. We have huge blues and flatheads here, would love to catch one someday

I was fishing on the polecat and a guy come walking by me with a basket full of turtles. There was a flooded pool back behind me from the creek and he said he traps them turtles and sells them on the internet. I think he said most of his foster Mets was in Michigan I think. He said he got his trapping permit from the state for 25 bucks a year and then got license to sell them. He ships overnight on dry ice and after they pay for shipping he charged 5 bucks a pound and this was 15 years ago. Whole turtle x 5 bucks plus shipping
