Those are old '70s Evans Hydraulics heads on your top 2 or 3 toms. I remember them from a church kit I used to play back in the '70s: a red, white, and blue sparkle Ludwig, a Bicenntenial special. That's a memory I'd long forgotten! The kit looks great, too. One can never have enough toms.
Nicely done buddy. A grand for all was a great buy. Enjoy. Dig your room. Welcome to collecting- it’s a fun sickness. Drum on bro. You have great taste.
Has that cool Hal Blaine “diggadiggaDIGGADOOGADOOGA” sound to it. Take the bottom heads off the other toms, and you’re ready to record the soundtrack for most tv shows in the 70’s. 👍😀
Shawn, that monster set is so cool. I think you should keep it, as long as you have the room for it, and if you don’t have the room, maybe sell off another set that isn’t quite as cool.
Amazed how you find these things and negotiate such great prices. Love those little concert toms. They have that nice pop-pop sound. Have a great holiday. Looking forward to 2024 and more drums!
My kit was very similar..blue sparkle concert toms..6-8-10-12-14 and a 16 floor..2 24'' kicks and a 1980 Ludwig Supraphonic. I ended up selling half of it because I was playing Country music in smaller bars and halls. I played the black dot Remo too..loved those drums! Nice find you have here!!
