This was a first, a drunk, elderly female heckler. Tension, awkwardness and finally relief. Live shows: www.kilmartin.com Book: “Dead People Suck” www.amazon.com/Dead-People-Su... Book: “Sh*tty Mom” www.amazon.com/Sh-tty-Mom-Par...
beatle pete thought the same 🤷🏻♀️ Although, I'm the type that would get up in her face and make her stfu. I don't wait for any man to do what I myself can handle. I don't like my money or night out, blown over a drunk bully. Classy? Meh...but she'd shut up quick.
Not to disrespect Laurie’s channel or amazing video, but you should check out Steve Hofstetter’s RU-vid for good heckler handling as well. These two are amazing and I hope to see more of them in my feed
aprilfool1965 old broad here. If you are a young asshole, you don’t become sweet and kind because you are lucky enough to live. I have buried many people who are much better people than I could ever hope to be. Folks, OLD doesn’t make you nice. There is NO adjective that automatically should make a person NOT be able to be labeled an idiot😂😂
I was actually present for this show (my friend was the emcee). The Flappers Claremont space is a relatively small comedy club, and while its staff is great, there's only so much they can do. It's not a place with large hulking bouncers, basically. Couple this with the aforementioned awkwardness of the heckler's age, her rowdy group, and the fact that they were right up at the front row (meaning any attempts at confronting them would likely cause an incident right where everyone could see), and the club's reluctance to deal with them is more than understandable.
Why wasn't this heckler thrown out of the club? She disrupted multiple comics and she's being disrespectful. There are other paying customers who came to see the show.
Heckling is not okay. She's at work. If you're at work, you wouldn't want someone interrupting you at the office. If you don't like the comic, you can leave and not pay to see her again. But there are other paying customers who are trying to enjoy the show.
Just goes to prove what I always say. I don't believe in respecting my elders. I believe in respecting decent people regardless of their age. Age doesn't bring entitlement. Age should bring class and the ability to show some respect. Good behavior is not hard and goes a long way
They are horrible customers. I'm glad I don't work at a store anymore. I still get stuck behind them screaming at cashiers or pharmacy techs sometimes. Us millennials are supposed to be the entitled ones? Half of the boomers lack even a basic command over their emotions, and can't seem to conduct themselves with respect towards others in public.
You killed it. I’m sure your set woulda been great. But your improv is fabulous. They tried to disrespect you from jump. And you even tried to play it cool asking them to leave. Bravo.
I gotta add that when you heckle a comedian, you get what you deserve. And-as someone who really appreciates Comedy (and Justice)-I appreciate the dimension that it adds to the show when justice is delivered in a novel or razor sharp way!
YOU HANDLED THAT "IRON-WOMAN" WITH CLASS, PATIENCE AND THE BEST REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY SKILLS I'VE SEEN SO FAR...IT DOES TAKE SKILL FOR WILLFUL ELDERLY CHILDREN; SUBSCRIBED ❤
Those idiots should have been thrown out sooner. The performer and the well-behaved audience do not deserve that time-wasting nonsense. Kilmartin rocks!
@@johnbianchi9401 to say that either "owned" either is ridiculous. this was merely a simple case of two abused ego's desperately trying to attack the other in order to defend themselves. it's rooted in pain, not anger or hatred. immature, awkward, stubborn, ignorant, shameful, regretful, forgettable...
NO GREY ,NO tHIS WOMAN DOES NOT BELONG ON STAGE, SHE WAS BOMBING AND SHE KNOWS IT.THE HECKLERS ABSOLUTELY OWNED THIS WOMAN.SHE COULDN'T HANDLE BEING UPSTAGED BY A MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE SO INSTEAD OF COMING UP WITH WITTY RESPONSES SHE RESORTED TO PETTY INSULTS AND EMOTIONS.MY COMMENT IS 100% CORRECT AND I STAND BY IT.
Laurie~ you are a real professional entertainer and classy woman. I love how You handled the situation of the MEAN drunken 70 year old woman and her MEAN drunken female friends without them getting to you. Great job! I am glad they left your show. I believe the paying audience would want those mean drunks banned from that club, so everyone can enjoy listening to you make everyone laugh.
MRusty Shackleford man... How wrong do you need to be before you take an introspective look at your inadequacies and defining insecurity that has clearly shaped your version of a personality. When did men become such massive pussies? You really need to ask your doctor to check your T levels they seem way below average.
kingofallcrypto your cancer or cancer in general? I can clearly see what’s funny about insel cancer but the kind that kills innocent kids, well that’s as serious as your defining insecurities.
Laurie, I love your method of dealing with hecklers, just agreeing with them so they have no more ammunition. Keep doing what you do, cause you're awesome. Much love and respect from England. :-)
Serious, serious skill here by Kilmartin. Just cull 'em out, let 'em separate, rest of the crowd is on your side against them, just perfect. Although I do wonder where the bouncers and/or management are.
Best one I ever heard. A comedian gets heckled by really mean, drunk guy. Finally he says, " Look, sir, I like to conduct my comedy the way you conduct your sex life. Alone.
I don’t know why people do this. I broke my collar bone before I went to see a comedian, I purchased tickets and so went knowing that I would have jokes fired at me all night. I had a laugh and didn’t take it personally. The comedians thanked me after the show for being a great sport and had a drink with me and my mates...best night out I had.
Geeeeeze, girl, you don't pull punches. I remember seeing you on a special when I was much younger and thinking how cool you were. Glad to see that never changed! ;D
You are so much funnier than Amy Schumer and deal with hecklers so much better than she does, I wouldn't mind if you got famous and got a Netflix special.
The heckler could've probably remembered the era when it was culturally normal to heckle the actors of a play at the theater, if only she wasn't so disgracefully, obnoxiously drunk.
