@@raysmith315 or you could go buy a deer tag and procure ur own meat. Hundreds of pounds of healthy better tasting venison ripe for the taking. It's deer season right now across pretty much the whole country. I really think the united states should give our hunters a nice little tax refund for being a little more self reliant. Would definitely help promote conservation a lot more. U Kno we have like less than a 3rd of the hunters we had in the 70's and deer populations have got out of control. Like I said plenty of way healthier meat right outside ur door. I mean any dummy can shoot a gun from 100 yards at a bait pile. Meat is going to be only for the wealthy. Lol not in my lifetime it isn't.

Look, I pride myself on being the only one of my group of friends to be able to tank a 50bmg recoil standing up. Last month I got a chance to shoot a 600 nitro. I ended up getting my shoulder reset. How the hell you took a 700 on your knees is impressive as hell I got to say bud.

I bought 400 rds of 9mm for $160 dollars today, I get to squeeze the triggers on my 9mm's 400 times. Scott paid ⅝ of that to squeeze the trigger of his nitro 700 once. . . Very nice! The .700 is impressive. The .600 really wasn’t meant to be a hunting rifle. It was built as an emergency rifle to stop very dangerous game that could attack. The gun bearer walked in front of the Hunter, with it resting on his shoulder and buttstock to his rear. The Hunter could quickly grab it if attacked and the bearer would quickly hit the dirt! Ahhh, those good old days!

What about shooting water in a pool. Portable pool. Patch plates where you shoot through to resist tearing. Use wet wear duct tape to patch the holes in the pool for reuse - You could collect bullets and film too. Heading into winter it can be how much ice you can shoot through.

Hey Scott I've been watching your channel since the beginning, it's awesome to see a fellow kentuckian doing so well. I never comment on videos but I think it would be cool to see the elephant guns hit body armor, not really to see if it would defeat the armor, but to see if the force of a caught bullet would knock someone back (like you see in the movies). Kentucky Ballistics: What about the .950 JDJ Seems pretty powerful to me...and is in fact the worlds biggest riflecaliber. Your gun is almost like an 5.56 compared with the .950 JDJ. I'll bet the elephants dont like that one...agree?

If I remember correctly Forgotten Weapons did something like this. Tested a bunch of different large bore rifles, might have even had an episode on revolvers as well. Everything I’ve seen says they produce roughly 160 ft/lbs of force. Unpleasant to say the least

Most large calibers are used for hunting. It needs a hid to go threw in order to expand. Without it's like the bullet never felt the block. Been waiting so long to see this video. Maybe try a leather couch skin like grandpa paul harrell. 50bmg verse 700? nitro?
