What Blizzard doesn’t tell you is that despite not receiving any benefit from the current DPS passive, Hanzo actually does have a passive other than wall climb: the ability to instantly make everyone on the enemy team salty just as a byproduct of his existence

I can understand when someone dies and then watches the killcam and the Hanzo fires a shot that was absolutely not intended for you and it hits you by accident. That's a qualifier for "lucky shot bro" but for fuck's sake man, you can see in the killcam that Arrge is prepping these long range shots with a lot of lead time. Is it really unbelievable to people that someone in GM/Masters can actually shoot a bow??

Hanzo has always been the most hated DPS only because of the theory of luck. They pick hanzo and cannot get the same amount of value and just put their hands up and say "it's just because I'm not lucky" not realizing you have to hit 45+ percent of your arrows to stay on par with other dps picks.

Hanzo's just an easy character for people to make excuses to get tilted at. I think it'd be disingenuous to say there's no luck involved when you play Hanzo, as the nature of just being a projectile character that can one shot; you're going to occasionally hit that hail mary or a spam arrow that gets a kill when you didn't expect it. Not to say there's no skill involved, because there obviously is and people who BM you for it are just salty players. You succeed because you have good crosshair placement, disciplined movement and just a great feel for prediction. Not because you're lucky, even if luck does occasionally play an element. Still, won't stop insecure players using it as an excuse. Just find it funny how you can get BM'd for playing a bugged, suboptimal character and succeeding when we're in a Sojourn/Hog meta. You'd think either of those is what people would be tilting at hah.

Comeback to people bitching about luck. "You make your own luck". The hanzo is not being pressured away from off-angles. The longer he's left alive, the more likely he will get a "lucky" shot.

When you shoot at YOUR level, it's not a crazy idea to think it might be someone cheating (obviously, sometimes it is just REALLY good players, but who can blame them for thinking that way)

With all due respect to your skill, Hanzo's arrow hitbox is more lenient than ever, he as a hitscan has the highest chance of landing a headshot out of all DPS including Widow, and against heroes with larger hitboxes they are quite skillless, no offense, because I could headshot a Reaper with Kiriko, Hanzo and Widow and I don't even play these heroes, and guess what, I won the fight.

The reason why some people can't fathom that a Hanzo player can consistently land headshots without being lucky, is that they can't accept that they're not as good at positioning and movement as they think they are. They're being outplayed, and they can't handle it. I'm a former Moira main and I got the same kind of comments whenever I angled an orb to finish off an enemy behind a corner or similar. I know how to calculate on the fly where the orb will go. 9 times out of 10, it would end up pretty much exactly where I wanted it - and then I got told that it was just luck.

People at your rank should know better than “lucky shot.” But down at my rank in plat 4 playing vs Hanzo’s can definitely feel like lucky shot sometimes they will just be spamming an area and get a kill sometimes. So I understand the comment at my rank. I think the only way that could fix that is the same way they nerfed widows at 35 meters but at the same time I don’t think he needs another nerf

Any tips on hitting better shots I’m a hanzo main and started like 4 days ago I’m decent with hitting shots but I get just under 50% accuracy around every game or any aimtraining games or sites

I have an uncountable amount of clips showing arrows switch direction mid air, to hit me. Favour the shooter is a terrible system, especially when paired with over watches horrible perspective issues.

i mean to be fair arrge kinda aims like a old man if you know what i mean. its like really slow, but non the less he hits nice shots and gets the job done. idk its hard to explain what i mean by old man. i understand that hanzo is a take your time with your shot character but his aim is still kinda slow its like he barely moves mouse. idk i might just prefer flashier players.

The reason why they all call good Hanzo players "lucky" is because they probably tried to play Hanzo once or twice, but were so bad they thought all shots had to be lucky; completely neglecting timing, accuracy, and game sense. Plus they want an excuse to say the game is at fault for their bad positioning or playstyle.

Next time someone gets mad tell them they r dying to an old fashion now and arrow from the Hunter gatherer times

To be fair, the average IQ of Overwatch players is pretty low. Sauce: "When we get angry the light goes out in the prefrontal cortex, which is the excutive functioning and decision making region of the brain. It's like we're operating with 10 to 15 less IQ points when we're angry." And since the average Overwatch player is allways in rage mode, his average IQ is lower than his calm mode IQ.

To be fair, a good Hanzo is a very tilting character to play against. Wallhacks on cooldown, one-shot potential, huge burst damage, ricochet arrows, wall climb, air dash, smug voice lines. He either forces the enemy to play line of sight, int just to deal with him (like that Genji and Dumbfist in that last clip), or counter pick. You can't even round a corner safely when Hanzo exists! What can this character NOT do in skilled hands such as Arrge's?

way back when in overwatch 1 i was on xbox and a hanzo main, i slowly went to junk and forgot all my hanzo skills on xbox and became a junk main. i moved to pc, still a junk main, but i started to pick up hanzo again. now everyone thinks im cheating its amazing.
