I can tell you for a fact this is not Germanys best sounding car. This is the world best sounding car.

Now that's a proper beast, what a sound, we need cars like this in our lives.

I saw the the factory Rally going car of this on the Rally of New Zealand, 1985. Stage 1, Woodhill forest west of Auckland. The helicopter came first but soon drowned out by the glorious sound of this car, I watched it take a 70 degree corner, maybe 40kph, we were 350 metres up the road. By the time the car past us, it was sideways, doing 200+kph, screaming to go faster, flames everywhere! The driver, 1984 World Rally Champion, Stig Blomqvist. My life changed forever. We could hear the car on the rev limiter, for kilometres..... while waiting for the next car, the helicopter trailing far behind!

Still one of the most amazing looking and sounding cars ever built. Muscular stance. Vicious sound. Insane performance. 🏎 As always, Luke! Thank you for sharing this pocket monster with us. 👍🏼

It's amazing how the Carrera GT still looks contemporary, although closing in on being almost 20 years old. Imo, the design has aged even better than that of the later 918.

Man I cannot say how jealous I am :D My dad drove ralleys back in the 80ies (in a Sierra Cossworth) and always told me how beautiful the Audi 5cyl turbo quattro sounded. He ever wanted to own one and this dream still lives inside me. The best sounding and performing car ever!!

Out of all the crazy cool cars you've made videos of, I still come back to this one once in a while. The sound is just fantastic.

back in 1987 i bought a 1982 ur quattro same car it was nowhere near the speed of this one, but the one thing that never changed from my one to this one is the handling their was a diff lock lever which you pulled out it locked the diffs 50 50 split you never lost the front you never lost the back the whole car just went sideways one of the best handling cars ive ever driven good memories.

That car is absolute savage and I just love that boxy shape 👍 thanks for making this video even though classic stuff usually doesn’t attract a lot of views ☹️

Friend of Mine did almost the same tuning an Audi 100 Quattro. Drove a lot of fast cars in my life but that experience I’ve had with that 2.3L 5-cilinder Quattro was such a beast that even now 20yrs later my neck still hurts thinking about accelerating that car from 0 to speed limiter 😍

Nothing compares to that sound Actually stood next to Michele Mouton after a special stage in my younger days The bangs , the flames 👌👌👌

20v 5cyl is such a masterpiece of an engine, and they take quite a bit of abuse. Love the quattro coupes. Absolutely timeless to look at, an intoxicating to drive. Thats one hell of a 'rep! Beautiful BBS, wrapped in R888 from the looks of it, CAE shiftbox, stack cluster, etc... all great ingredients to make a great build. Great looking shop with some awesome cars. Love how clean it is. CGT's are sick too. If only I was a rich guy. Lmao! Totally agree with you on modern cars with all the electronic nannies that dumb down the driver input and feel. I'm all for no tcs, steering assist, stability control, etc. I shut all that crap down usually if I can. Much better without
