No. It turns off when you turn off the engine. Usually the 12V DC port is tied to the accessories switch.

Total junk ..tried for days to make it work ..always saying connect to hotspot…never able to use internet to view images …just destroyed it in the driveway…I feel so much better

Hi, I have installed this camera to my car but the major issue I am facing is the Memory Card corrupt error. Within a day or two I get this notification & I have to change the memory card, so I have replaced 3 cards & I still gave this issue. What is the recommended memory card name & make ?

you cant use regular SD cards, you need to get ones that work specifically for dashcams... usually they are called Endurance SD cards
