This is an excerpt of a car chase scene from some 70s Aussie show/movie featuring Skyhooks hit "Horror Movie" as the theme music. I have no idea of what this show/movie is and wonder if anyone viewing can tell me?
Hi! I just found this on RU-vid. I watched a lot of episodes of Homicide when I was a kid and I can tell you that it is Dennis Grosvenor and Gary Day who played Snr.Det Mike Deegan and Sen.Det Phil Redford and I am pretty sure the car chase was around the park in North Fitzroy and then followed on by McKean Street North Fitzroy as well! I would say 1975. And also the red charger I have a strange feeling that may have also been the car in Bluey which followed on in 1976. IBB722. Not sure but I think it is. It was also used in another car chase sequence in 'Third Generation' Homicide Episode 502 in 1975 with Chris Haywood playing a killer on the run filmed in the same area. That was a hell of a car chase filmed in North Fitzroy, Richmond and probably a bit of Port Melbourne and Abbotsford as well! Love it! Cheers, Craig!
Ha..Ha.. the episode is called 'Outside Chance'. Gary Day bitched he was'nt getting enough Screen time, so a Writer came up with an excellent and well written episode. The Red Charger was seen in MANY Crawford cop shows, including THE BOX Movie made in 1975. The Car chase in 'Third Generation' was overdone, however was the BEST I've ever seen !....I suppose the area would look very different now ?....
@@sentimentalbloke185 Nope, Branded as a "Valiant Charger". Some of them had a small "By Chrysler" badge in the taillight panel. This is a 73-74 VJ model. The "Chrysler Charger" started with the 1977 CL model.
@@kramrollin69 Valiant wasn't a marque, so it was the Chrysler Valiant Charger. In the USA, the Valiant name was associated with the Plymouth marque. It was Chrysler Valiant Charger for VH & VJ series & then simply Chrysler Charger for VK & CL series. CL came out in '76, not '77, was the last in the line.
@@sentimentalbloke185 You idiots always have to argue. No, they were Valiant Chargers, made by Chrysler....yes you are right, the VK and CL were "Chrysler Chargers" And "Valiant" Was a Marque in the USA in 1959 to 1960, then folded into the Plymouth line. Crikeys, you try to impart some knowledge and there is always some tool that argues.
