The entire show was perfectly cast. From Charles Dance as Tywin, Jonathan Pryce as the High Sparrow to Jack Gleeson as Joffrey. Every one of them just nailed their roles
weeeeell, except for Emilia - but that may be down to the shitty part she was playing (Emilia is usually great). Dany was the most unbelievable thing about that show - even taking into account that there were dragons and knight kings in it!
Just it ended in a giant burnt pile of ash ... the amazing actors couldn't carry the horrible plot for that last season ... You build up an apocalypse for the entire show ... and you get rid of it in 1 episode...
There was only one main character in the show, and he died in the first season - Eddard Stark (Sean Bean). The show has only been comprised of supporting characters of varying levels of importance ever since. By levels of importance, you have Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen on the first tier, Tyrion Lannister on the second tier, Cersei and Jaime Lannister on the third tier, Robb, Sansa, Arya and Bran Stark on the fourth tier, Theon Greyjoy and Stannis Baratheon on the fifth tier, and the list goes on.
ShadowBolt995 what the fuck are you talking about????😂😂😂😂😬😬😬 How tf is Jon snow, dany, or Tyrion on main characters, get the fuck out of here, you just making this shit up as you go, huh?😂😂😂😂 stfu
@@CorrectionUnknown It´s not like it´s a major factor of his apperance and life. In the series it´s literally what a major plot revolves around: his height.
The acting he did in the scene where Shae betrayed him is some of the finest I've seen. He played the part of disbelief and heartbreaking pain as she betrayed him to perfection. The man is brilliant!
Because basicly there is only supporting characters in game of thrones. Yes some gets more screen time than others but it doesn't change that they are all just bigger or smaller pawns in the game of thrones. The concept of the Iron Throne is the main character so to speak.
Who would've thought that Matt Smith have been nominated for this 4 years ago. Lining up with very good actors from GOT series. And now, with his performance to HOTD series, I hope he will get a lot of nominations for his acting and win lot of awards!
Right?? I was wondering who “robbed” the dude off the Emmy’s last time he got nominated, searched this up, and went “Oh. Yeah he couldn’t stand a chance that year now could he?”
The single scene that truly made me recognize him and his acting skills the most was the court trial scene in season 4, I get goosebumps every single time. The raw expression of emotion he displays is unreal
@@PC-xd8th really. So may I know from your end. What u think the attire, weapons, ambiance and cinematography and characters r influenced by medivial times. Dotrakhi = mongols Carth = close to India And many more.
You know your an amazing actor when getting on stage, and saying ur speech looks like your still in character. Not everyone carries that gift. Good job 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Yeah, he did. His reaction is almost like, "What?! No ..." The eyebrow raise seems almost skeptical, like he doesn't think it's right. He makes sure to hug Nik after he kisses his wife, as though he's apologizing. He was, I'm sure, legitimately rooting for Nik to win, and even shakes his head (and rolls his eyes), probably feeling that his co-star was robbed. He actually mouths the word "whatever" ... but I'm happy that he included Nikolaj in his speech. Both actors are great.
The Simple eye contact from afar that Jamie and Cersie have in the scene where she sits on the Throne for the first time after all her children are dead. They both should win just for that.
Its funny how one bad season, in fact one episode for that matter can ruin a whole legacy. D&D made the show a phenomenon. Of course the ending wasn't great, but doesnt mean they are crap. Whatever ending you give, people arent going to be happy.
@@gem4010 I feel like many of the GOT actors have been robbed of their opportunity to be nominated this for an Emmy this season. Especially Lena, Kit, Nikolaj and Peter. Even Maisie.
He deserved it, everybit of that Emmy Award. Outstanding play! Made a changing throughout the series, without changing anything from his character. He stayed as he was, a true Lannister.
If you watch his interviews and listen to his story,, you can see that he always knew he was destined for greatness.. his journey was hard af and it made him a bit resentful that he couldn't fulfil his purpose earlier. Now hes feeling like it's overdue, which it is
@ben gib Reread my comment, I just told you that I'm referring to the show. As in it's supposed to be in good fun. You people always ruin a harmless joke.
He had the screen all d way thru..wuth wisdom n knowledge siping out if him all thru..olus plenty compassion..congrats tyrion..lots of love from Cameroon to u n ya,family...
Awww Nikolaj deserved an award this year. He has been the standout actor on GoT for so long, and now he finally got a nomination?! I hope he receives it next year at least. Congrats to Peter :)
Hm Aiden is an interesting one. Littlefinger is my favourite character on the show (in my opinion the most interesting character) but I feel Aiden has been a little too one note and inconsistant at times. I love the actor and I sitll think it's a fantastic performance, just don't know if I would put it on the same pedestal as the one's I mentioned.
well I mean of course he's going to be excited that one of the guys from his TV show won.. It's like if someone I don't know from my University goes to the NBA I'm still excited for them and proud because they represent my school.
NKW should have won. His character arc has been so amazing. You wanted to murder him S1 & S2, felt sorry for him S3 & S4 and started really caring for him S5 till now
I swear every single one of the main cast should have an Emmy by now. Just for the cultural phenomenon that GOT became and the records that it has broken and continue to break.
@@George-qw8ss I wouldn't get my hopes high. This season didn't get a lot of positive reviews from critics and fans alike. So the chances of it getting an Emmy for Best Drama or Directing/lighting categories are fairly low. There is maybe a 1 in 3 chance that there might be a nomination for an acting category, but I can't say for sure, because the scripting was not that good for this season. The acting was on point, but not the Script. We can all thank D&D for that.
1:42 The way he just closes his eyes and then looks into the camera. Or the way he shakes his head at 1:53. Watch in slow motion. It says everything. He wanted Nikolaj to win.
@@oathkeeper5547 yeah my point was same this thing. 😁 Jaime character getting better since he fallen in love with brienne of tarth. that ** character development thing.** ❤
I love how Nikolaj waits for Peter to hug him and leave before he stands up. A really classy guy, what a contrast to Joffrey removing Tyrion's stool for the wedding.
It wasn't always fanfiction, but Season 7 certainly was. I would've been quite content if GoT didn't get nominated for anything besides visual effects, but I knew that wouldn't happen. I do think that other actors in the show deserve awards (Nikolaj for instance), but not for this shitty season.
Peter Dinklage is a legendary actor, and his performance like any of his performances was award worthy, but man Nikolaj Coaster Waldau deserved this one this time!
@@Smithy250 They are both amazing, Peter is only a tiny bit better. That being said, in this particular season, Nikolaj was the best actor in the series by a huge margin.
I dont know of a bad actor in Game Of Thrones. Everyone has been phenomenal and it's very hard to rank who is better than the others. All of them are great.
