Alhamdulillah, I'm happy that you are continuing with this book Sheikh. I thought the rest of the durus were not available on youtube. Barakallah feek.
Shaykh I would love a critical analysis from you on the ahadith pertaining to black flags, khorasaan, mahdi, etc. Many isnaad discussions which could be beautifully broken down by yourself on this topic inShaAllah
Assalam o alaikum shaykh, could you please show us practical demo of witr salah i want to switch from hanfi to hanbali due to lack of knowledge with regards to witr I'm not switching.
Assalamo alaikum.. Sheikh I would like to know if it is alright for a lay man to follow a particular madhab like hanabila and leave what he is following for example hanafi madhab ?
No your prayer is totally accepted, these stories are popular in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. However, I'll suggest you to not to stop praying even it's not mandatory. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that it's a right upon Muslim to pray it and his cousin brother, Ali [May Allah be pleased with him] said that witr is sunnah but don't stop praying it. still if someone is not praying witr, he's not sinful. Wallahu Aa'lam
AssalamuAlaikum Sheikh, Here in our country the ahle hadeeth group makes witr like this, they pray 3 rakah with only one tasleem without sitting in the 2nd rakah for the tashahud. Is this the correct way? Only people from the hanafi madhab sits in the 2nd rakah for the tashahud without tasleem. So which one to follow?
8 major benefits of Astaghfar in the Quran. 1. It opens the doors of mercy. The Quran says, “Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver.”[Quran 71:10] 2. It will give you wealth and children. The Quran says, “And give you increase in wealth and children.” [Quran, 71:12] 3. A Believer’s Dua gets accepted. There’s nothing better for a believer that all the duas that he or she makes in hopes that they will one day get accepted by their lord, actually get fulfilled. Astagfirullah has the power to make a Muslim’s duas get accepted. 4. Astagfar provides sustenance. The Quran says, “Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term and give every doer of favour his favour” [Quran, 11:3] 5. A Muslim is not punished while they seek forgiveness. The Quran says, “And Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness ” [Quran, 8:33] 6. Allah will send the rain of mercy. The Quran says, “He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers.” [Quran, 71:11] 7. Adding strength in our lives. The Quran says, “. . . ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in showers and increase you in strength [added] to your strength.” [Quran 11:52] 8. Allah will provide you with gardens and rivers. The Quran says, “. . . and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.” [Quran, 71:12]
There is nothing wrong with it but you should also read atleast two sunnah after 4 fard of Isha . It's among the 12 sunnah muakkadah which if pray you will get a mansion (palace) in Jannah
Sheikh can you please make a video on the early scholars' view on music. We know that music is haram. But some people are saying ibn Hazm rh said it is not haraam, and, in Dhahiri & Maliki schools it is not haram.! Is it true.? Can you please point from those schools' Books & about ibn hazm & others' take on this.?
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: The view of the four Imaams is that all kinds of musical instruments are haraam. It was reported in Saheeh al-Bukhaari and elsewhere that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said that there would be among his ummah those who would allow zinaa, silk, alcohol and musical instruments, and he said that they would be transformed into monkeys and pigs… None of the followers of the imaams mentioned any dispute concerning the matter of music. (al-Majmoo’, 11/576) Imaam Maalik (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about playing the drum or flute, if a person happens to hear the sound and enjoy it whilst he is walking or sitting. He said: He should get up if he finds that he enjoys it, unless he is sitting down for a need or is unable to get up. If he is on the road, he should either go back or move on. (al-Jaami’ by al-Qayrawaani, 262). He (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “The only people who do things like that, in our view, are faasiqs.” (Tafseer al-Qurtubi, 14/55)
The correct way is to recite Qunoot before rukoo in witr. The evidence is quite clear. Shaikh Uthman listen to this . Sahih Al Bukhari 1002 Narrated `Asim: I asked Anas bin Malik about the Qunut. Anas replied, Definitely it was (recited) . I asked, Before bowing or after it? Anas replied, Before bowing. I added, So and so has told me that you had informed him that it had been after bowing. Anas said, He has lied. Allah's Messenger (S) recited Qunut after bowing for a period of one month. Anas added, The Prophet(S) sent about seventy men (who knew the Qur'an by heart) towards the pagans (of Najd) who were less than they in number and there was a peace treaty between them and Allah's Apostles (but the Pagans broke the treaty and killed the seventy men). So Allah's Apostle recited Qunut for a period of one month asking Allah to punish them.
Apparently this Shaikh Uthman has more authentic narration than Imam Bukhari himself. Fear Allah Shaikh Uthman and follow the sunnah of Prophet(S) over what scholars have said. You did same with matter of Jalsatul Istiraha which Prophet(S) commanded to do.
