Adams is deserving an award for almost what she does so I agree with you but Williams too is another great talent who gets nominated and never wins. Hopefully they'll be rewarded soon.
@@ruthiehensh I really think Charlize Theron for Bombshell . I won't lie I haven't seen a lot of great performances till now. Little women is gonna totally give us some noms
Michelle should have won an Oscar for "Manchester by the Sea" Her acceptance speech about pay equality was incredible -- so well delivered to cover every valid point.
I cried after hearing Michelle Williams as the winner and cried harder after that beautiful speech about equality pay she made. She was SO AMAZING in Fosse/Verdon and deserved this 100% .
@@davestoker6233 in the case of this category, I don't think she was robbed. Yeah she was amazing, can't deny that but I also can't deny that Michelle Williams was amazing too in Fosse/Verdon, she deserved it too
I love that Busy is so often her date. Dawson’s Creek was like what, 25 years ago? And they’re still best friends. Pretty sure Busy is Matilda Ledger’s godmother. So cute.
BEST SPEECH EVER. I dislike it when actors force their speeches to be political but Mrs. Williams made a well structured speech explaining how hard it is to success as an artist, specially if you are a women, because of the understimated value to the process of creation a character and gender pay gap, based on her own Fosse/Verdon experience. A terrific piece.
@@flagtheoffense This is not the place for the abortion legalization topic, go to her golden globe speech for that. As a whole, Mrs. Williams used her speeches to talk about women's rights, and this one is about gender pay gap. I suggest you listen to every word *of this speech*. It's so powerful, and despite any difference one may have with the actress in any matter, you've got to agree with this one.
@@jorgea4115 , I'm sorry but who is she to be talking about low income in thus speech if hers? She's got about 20 million in hers. I'd like to see her on my income to be talking all that BS.
@@osmanyousif7849 So you think she has no moral authority to talk about gender pay gap because she might win 20 million dollars per movie? That is completely irrelevant and, well, she does not. As I said, she is talking from her own experience as an actress. On 2016, while her co star recieved $ 5 million dollars for the film All the money in the world, she was paid $ 625,000. Both leads, and she was paid 8 times less than her male counterpart. I'm glad she had the experience she had in Fosse/Verdon and the chance she had to talk about it in this speech.
@@osmanyousif7849uhhh, exactly the point? When someone from privilege talk about an issue in our society, it speaks volumes. If a black person said those things, it wouldn’t matter as much. She’s standing up and saying that she’s part of the privilege but she doesn’t agree with it. But of course, people like you are just never happy. I pity you for such a negative life.
The title of this video is so disrespectful. How dare they not mention that Miss Williams won this category. Someone, fix this. EDIT: finally someone edited! Thank you and don't ever disrespect Miss Williams
@@elektrawintour671the same can be said for Amy, she IS camille. Not once do you ever think that's amy Adams acting like someone else. And that's the thing. I shouldn't hate on Michelle, but Hollywood is so obsessed with themselves. They legit reward anything that praises past actors or paints Hollywood as this grand amazing thing. When was the last time a character like Camille was rewarded. Amy winning would've been something new. It woulve been a statement.
@@leedalite Michelle William deserved this wards, bead luck for amy to compite that year with her. It was not robbed, there were justice here. Sad for Amy, but only one could win
Michelle Williams was too good..But it's again plainright repetitive when you keep awarding actors for putting up showy performances of Hollywood icons! Michelle's performance lacked nuance. Amy Adams performance in Sharp Objects was so genuine that you couldn't see her at all... Not for once do you think she was acting.. It was like she was living Camille. It's one of the finest performances I have ever seen. But people fail to understand the difficulty in playing such characters. Because they don't feel that they have "acted" much. If Amy had won for this complex and superlative performance, it would have been a welcome change and a monumental moment.
I feel like Lin-Manuel Miranda was just showing off by helping her up. She didn't ask for help and may not have needed it. It's like really dude? Are you that desperate to get on camera? Just an opinion
He was a producer on the show, and one of his close friends Thomas Kail was a director on the show I believe and he and Michelle fell in love and are now married with a child. She might have already been pregnant around this time and Thomas couldn’t make the ceremony so Lin was keeping an eye on her for him like a good friend.
