Wow, that was hard to watch. I can’t believe the guy I was watching come up in DAZN is catching unnecessary L’s in some “League of Bets”. What in the world is a 19-0 fighter doing in a 4-round fight is beyond me. It’s barely enough time to warm up. Then the judges in Russia give it to the Russian guy? Shocker! You expected different? The plan was to what, hope for on an early knockout? Who’s managing this guy? Who’s promoting him? Someone should be fired over this. It should have never happened.

That Russian dude was taking liver shots like he actually had no liver. Actually, he was taking every shot like that. We know that Nikita Ababiy has real power but he couldn't do anything with this guy. Other than that I would say that both of them could use a jab. But man that was a hard fight. I think it was a draw. Two rounds a piece.
True! He cares more about what he looks like. Plus his floppy hair makes it look like he gets hit a lot. It exaggerates the hits. All in all, he still lost the fight and has no defense.
Good fight for Nikita! Yeah he lost on points but he hit that boy with hard shots that anyone else would have crumbled too. It was a tough style to fight and the Russian was a lot like Nikita. Tough. It was a good fight for both! No shame.
Whats happened to Ababiy? He was a prominent young rising star...and now he just like disappeared almost... whats going on? Dude was such a promising young talent
He is not prepared for stronger opponents. He still boxes as if he were facing inferior opponents, lacking in defense or tactics. I think they believed that his talent was enough and they simply let him run.
Love Nikita, but he's too much into long bangs and tattoos and acting silly on RU-vid. The fights will be tougher from here on out. Recently saw a interview June 24 he's trying a come back with God's help. Hope God wants him to fight.
Knew this would happen, looked good against tin cans but as soon as you put him against some proper fighters he fails. Also, dude needs to cut his hair, it just may have lost him a draw!!
What a wierd fight Yuri just coming foward crashing distance, not landing much clean mostly blocked or slipped. Nikita def knocked dude down in 3 r 4, but looked wierd in every round, whats up with a 4 round fight.
He's picked up some bad habits like tucking his head under the guys hairy armpit, and always backing up against the ropes. He'll have to Scrub all of that armpit juice out of his hair. Now maybe he'll get serious about boxing

Yeah totally agree. He let the other guy control the distance too much because he had no jab to hold him off. He was also letting his guard down way too much against someone with a lot of speed and better timing
Nikita has fell off a lot in the last 3 years. I don't know if he got side tracked? Or if he doesn't take it as seriously as he did? He once had power and speed. Now he's completely different than before. I guess he is with different people now. It's not helping him much at all.😮
@@jrg5315 I thought he looked good, but the Russian fellow was very good, better than any of the pros Ababiy has fought in the US so far. It was pretty close, but I agree with the decision. Ababiy now has a fight scheduled with a "designated loser" in a couple of weeks, finally. Starting at the bottom again.
I believe Nikota is done! 25 yo is too many years to start all pver. He had bad fighters for a while, this Russian is 23 and good fighter. Nikita had no Idea what to do! He was just retrieving with no defense or strategy. His head was wobbling after receiving so many punches, he kept staying at the ropes receiving the kitchen sink not even moving to the sides. He should have tried to get in the hands of Oscar de La Hoya camp, as Ryan Garcia
Russian got the 1st 2 rounds and American got the 2nd two. Should've been a draw. And the Russian was boxing dirty all fight which he should've lost a point for all the illegal hits to the back of the head and illegal punches after the clinch.
Nikita I know you got better power than this guy. I've watched you throughout the years and I'm still sure you have so much more for us. Get back to training like you were before, something send to be distracting you. Can't point it out but whatever it is stay away from it. Whomever or whatever it may be is messing with your career . Stay focused and I want to see you doing them right after fight again.
Nikita spent too much time backing up and that just looks plain bad to any judge. Also, the Russian didn't seem to be phased by anything that Nikita threw. He must've had a chin of concrete as I never saw him even react to any of Nikita's shots. I think many of the comments and criticisms below are valid. Somewhere along the road something happened to Nikita, but I've no more 'insider' info or answers than the next guy.
I followed white chocolate for a few years until the pandemia hit since then he spiral downward what happened? I been keeping my eyes open looking for his next fight to go see him fight live but nothing 🤷🏻♂️it’s a matter of management? Guidance? or white chocolate got older just quit☹️
What the hell happened to Niki. He underperformed massively. This fighter was very good, but niki has beaten better. A shame. I was hoping for a White Chocolate run! But, maybe getting his ass beat will turn him back into what he once was. And I'm sure there is a girl involved.
Nikita needs to step up his aggression and volume. Because as soon as the other guy starts walking into him and getting closer, his offense goes away. More straight punches would keep the opponent out of range. And his defense needs work as always. Regardless he’s still fun to watch, and I hope he makes a full return.
