This video is about the Kabbalistic tradition of the 72 "names". Each "name" is sounded out twice together with the Hebrew and a transliteration in English letters. Very useful for learning to read Hebrew.
The Rambam (Maimonides) taught:
"You must beware of sharing the error of those who write
amulets (kameot). Whatever you hear from them, or read in
their works, especially in reference to [God's] names which they
form by combination, is utterly senseless; they call these combinations
shemot (names) and believe that their pronunciation demands
sanctification and purification, and that by using them
they are enabled to work miracles. Rational persons ought not
to listen to such men, nor in any way believe their assertions."
(Guide for the Perplexed, Book I, Chap. LXI)

These are an intense blessing. I have been back to working with Kabbalah again, for a few months, with some nice changes, but when i began focusing on doing the Ana B'koach and then 72 Names, daily, as above, i was pushed forward exponentially, in many personal areas! .....Healing, internal power, awareness, and the feeling that more dynamic benevolence is flowing in, for myself and others.
@Tia-359

Hi there please can you share how using the Ana bekoach has helped you. I learnt the prayer last year, however I need to implement using the required strategies to help me better my reality and formulate miracles.

@@Tia-359 Because I have not used it alone, it is hard to say how it has acted on my life of itself singularly, but like most balanced mystical practices, it will draw what you need to you...... I attracted yard-worker volunteers, without asking......connected with a distance-healing group that is having a positive effect (unlike ones in the past)......was notified of, and easily completed an option that cut my financial matters in half...... I have had sudden innovations that make my spiritual practices more efficient and also less time-consuming. I also receive strong assurance from inside about what is, and what is not is useful, and what i should or should not be concerned with....Synchronicity improved A LOT, and there is a comfort that is imposed by the prayer, even when you don't feel like praying. It can get you through difficult times more smoothly, and both these practices seem to increase the auric field and intuition. Learning it was a good, practical idea for both of us! If i were you, saying it daily, and at the three thirds of the day, with great sincerity and concentration, knowing what you want and/or need, or leaving it open that what is best for you and those affected by you, receive the best from the praying. I also recite Palm 150 in gratitude, before and after any results.

I have to disagree when you say that these heavenly titles have no miraculous effects ...I have been meditating on them every night for the past week or so and my life is already changing for the better where as the past few years have been complete suffering. I can feel the red sea of my life parting as I study these names and the zohar so do not underestimate them, they are an amazing tool and a gift from our father in heaven. The world needs kabbalah now more than ever. Baruch hashem

'Arabs' did live in Yemen long before Abraham had Yishma'el, but it is a leap to conclude from this that the language we now call Arabic existed then. The earliest Hebrew manuscripts and inscriptions predate the earliest known Arabic writing by hundreds and hundreds of years. Even today certain non-Arabic South Semitic languages are still spoken in Yemen. Just as modern standard Arabic has significant differences from Qur'anic Arabic, Qur'anic Arabic is different from its early predecessors.

@marcodurencenteno Mem is one of the letters that has a different appearance at the end of words. Since I made the video for learning and these "names" are not actual words in Hebrew but just combinations of letters, so sometimes I put the different ending form and sometimes I didn't, to help people get use to the concept.

The 99 "names" of Allah also are not really names but attributes or as you appropriately expressed, names of Godlyness. Their purpose in Sufism the same as in Kabbalah is a form of meditation - the sacred words have vibratory affects which coorespond to similar latent attributes in the person as we are made "in the image of God", this kind of medition awakens these attributes in the meditator. Kabbalah is the origen of Sufism and many of us study it too.

@omedyashar ...one of the interesting things is that the first 3 letter combination that has meaning is the combination of 3ayin lamed mem, which spells "world" or "universe." Then after that 2 other combinations immediately stand out: a place where "yud" lines up in all 3 verses ( yud yud yud)... and then where "heh" lines up in all 3. This spells a real name of G-d: YAH; "3olam YAH" = G-d's Universe or G-d's world.

@dawahaddict I'm glad you noticed I put it in quotes. They've been given mystical significance among students of "Kabbalah." I don't advocate study of Kabbalah among the masses, but someone paid me to make this video, and I think it's useful for learning to read Hebrew letters with vowels. This take on the 72 letter name is contrary to the Rambam's understanding. The 72 "names" in the video do not have any intrinsic halakhically binding holiness in so far as TALMUDIC Judaism is concerned.

In Exod. 3:14 is used EHYEH ASHER EHYEH ( I, that/who am ). Moses've been brought up on the Egyptian culture, in which knowing the real name of a creature, a human person, a spirit or a god meant gaining control over them. So, God's answer was something, like " Nice try, my name's Whatever".

So do you need to be initiated into kabalah to even listen to god names? I am not sure this makes sense. Why would god reserve his names for an elite of very few in a very closed circle?
@TheSatrajitSanyal
@TheSatrajitSanyal Год назад
@@Chickenface12345 good point. Let me rephrase - by uninitiated, I do not refer to Kabbalistic schools or any formal institutions but to persons of rigour. What I meant was simple - these are not to be tampered with by the endlessly self seeking. No elitism there - God created us all, and of course we all should have access to Him - however, if you study Abulafia's works, you shall see how he steers away from the magickal and speaks of the mystical. Hope this clarifies 🙏😊

The o's aren't eh's, but you're right that it sounds similar. The reason for this is because it (the Hebrew vowel called Holam) is between the English O, which in accurate Hebrew pronunciation is actually the vowel qamas, not the vowel Holam, ...and between the sound of 'eh.'

@omedyashar P.S. Being that these are 3 verses in a row that consist of exactly 72 letters each, and when paralleled together as explained in the video you do get some meaningful combinations... I do think that there may be some special purpose to these 3 verses in a row being 72 letters each... but I don't have a clue as to the exact reason for it and what's to be learned from it.

@omedyashar I'm fairly sure this Kabbalistic approach of 72 "names" is based on a statement in the Talmud regarding a 72 LETTER name of G-d. In the Judeo-Aramaic of the Talmud, sometimes "name" refers to a letter, and "letter" can potentially refer to a "name" as well.... depends on context. ...I myself am against irrational use of words and letters. I think it comes dangerously close to explicitly forbidden practices (ahum.. witchcraft)...

I see you use the waw instead of modern vav, I also hear that you pronounce the vowels differently. I enjoy your videos and if possible I will try and become a supporter on patreon.

I need to update my Patreon channel, because right now the only real reward I can give is Hebrew lessons and shoutouts, and neither require Patreon. Let me know if you're interested!
