Grab yourself some S2S merch and support the channel while rocking a shirt or hat with this latest build on it! And right now, when you grab $65 or more worth of merch from the store, we're throwing in an OG Salvage to Savage Signature piston hat! (while supplies last)
www.salvagetosavage.com
.
With our supercharger installed and our Wegner drive kit bolted up, we're able to start moving our attention from the motor, all the way on to the back of this truck. And how are we doing that? By fabricating a custom exhaust for our blown 6.2 liter LS3. There's a ton of cuts and bends to make as we get this exhaust routed down our slammed GSI chassis; but luckily we got a whole box full of Vibrant performance stainless tubing and two shiny new mufflers to help get a complete exhaust made! It's going to take a whole ton of pie cuts, but it's gonna be worth it!
Make sure you subscribe to the channel so you don't miss us finishing up this build, or miss out on any of our other crazy projects!
Check out all the new S2S merch we have up on our site!

@CrankAddict

As an owner of a gen I Viper, I recommend that you make those side exits at a 45 degree angle. Side exhaust is quite loud and any extra angle that you can afford from a straight out 90* angle is going to help with noise and drone for the passengers. And I would place that exit closer to the tire and further from the cab as well.

Flash tape used in carbon fiber infusion is my go to for tape for exhaust fitup and welding. Doesn’t leave any adhesive, high temp resistant, shrinks slightly when heated so it pulls joints together and you can weld directly next to it and it doesn’t melt to the pipe it just falls off

It would be worth looking into Solar Flux rather than back purging for simple exhaust. Of course back purging is best, but Solar Flux is cheaper for something not super critical like a pre-turbo exhaust system would be.

That was a great episode again the craftsmanship is great and the pride in the work. I wanted to ask a dumb question what is the benefit of the cross over connection you did with the exhausts? Some of this is new to me so I just wanted to ask. Can't wait to see this one done!
@SalvagetoSavage

Without the crossover, the exhaust usually ends up sounding a bit too much like a UPS truck. It helps a lot with the sound of the exhaust and a bit with the performance of it as well!

It will all come apart pretty easily from underneath. It's essentially in three sections: the headers, the crossover and then the mufflers/tip. It makes it pretty easy to get out of there!
