@@romegqSorry 2 spoil the party bro but that is incorrect about the east. On the east we call a taper exactly what it is "a taper". A line up is exactly what its called "a line up" (which is lining up your hair line in front, or sides, or all around). When the east refer to a shape-up, it's the same as what Poppyblasted said; but some will cut the frizzy hair off as well. A shape-up is almost like a complete haircut, except the barber is tighting your hair so it can be presentable without actually cutting dwn ur hair. Especially if you are trying to grow it. Since I was a kid I call it what the barbers tell me to call it lol, when they only hit just above the side burns (that temple area-high/low taper) and hit the back of the neck, it's a taper. But whenever I'm at a new barber, I show them a pic of what I want just to be on the safe side. 😅
