@@yazr1712 He talks that way in interviews. As someone with a slight stutter, it almost feels like he might have a stutter he gets around, or it's just how he orders his thoughts. Remember, their show uses a lot of the actors natural styles in their characters.
Yeah, this was a no-brainer. I can't get over that scene in Season 2 Episode 4 when he hugs Shiv and begins to break down. It was so emotionally intense I genuinely felt for him. It felt so real. I almost cried (and I almost never do). An actor that makes his audience feel the emotion is a true artist. He's brilliant.
His acting in the season final of season one was unbelievable; the last 15 mins of that performance/episode was incredible! He was just as good in scenes of season two, but that ending of season one still takes the cake for me! Well deserved!

YES I’m so happy he was recognized. The emotional gymnastics Jeremy pulls off for Kendall’s character are so subtle and mind-blowing-his performances get better on every rewatch (like the rest of the show, honestly). 👏🏼🥇
I feel the same way. I am only on season two episode four right now, but boy did I see the change in his character after the car accident . He was like a different person after that. He went from a normal human to a zombie like character. Such good acting. Bravo.
After reading about him a bit more he definitely deserves it. He has incredible passion and drive. He puts himself through so much for his work, and you can so clearly see that.

@@itsonlysound Jeremy has made it very clear that he does not conform to the term "method acting." in fact, it's difficult for ANY actor to conform to any specific acting style because like the individual actor, acting varies depending on the person performing. that is what makes the art form beautiful. no technique is wrong or right because everybody's process differs and is unique to the person performing. Someone's talent is not dependent on the technique they choose to enforce their skill with.
It was between Strong and Cox. And I feel because of Strong's extremely nuanced and restrained performance, he deserved to win. Succession is the best show since Breaking Bad ended, without a doubt. I love Better Call Saul, but, Succession, currently stands on top for me.
Jeremy's performance is to me the best leading acting performance in a drama since the best seasons of Bryan Cranston in Breaking Bad. I LOVE Man Men and Ozark also but he was even better than peak Jon Hamm and Jason Bateman in their respective shows.
@@charley15z I actually realised that the way his character is written it lacks an emotional range so it's hard for him to win. Season 2 was his best chance though but he didn't so it's probably not gonna happen now
The only other award of the night besides all of the Schitt's Creek ones that made me yell "FUCK YES!" out-loud. His performance this season of "Succession" was beyond outstanding. Well-deserved.

greg and logan are the ones im most hoping to suffer in season 4 lol i dont dislike him but we never see him in that position and i think he will deserve it after selling his “ soul to the devil”
I just re-watched the season 2 finale of Succession, Jeremy Strong was electrifying in his performance. That phenomenal last scene alone earns him the Emmy, but he was terrific in the episode even before that, his last scene with Naomi just before she leaves the cruise ship being a particular highlight.
Jeremy Strong: you are a superb actor who deserves every accolade you receive for your performance in this series. I have felt - up to the end of Season 3 - as though your character was so vulnerable in such a toxic family; you delivered the goods for all your fellow cast members; you made the series to date what it is. Exceptional! Congratulations!
I was pulling for Jeremy Strong. There were amazing nominees but Jeremy Strong puts his heart and soul into playing Kendall Roy. He deserved it and I am so happy he won.
When I started watching Succession, I didnt know Jeremy strong. But I was in awe how convincing his acting was and thought this guy really go places. Well deserved bud.

The "Too much birthday" episode - not that he wasn't masterful in other ones, but that one made me really feel for his character. Great job Jeremy. Way to go my man.
Hello from Singapore! We have HBO here and I've been hooked on Succession since the very beginning. Huge fan of Jeremy Strong's. I already felt he deserved to win for season 1 so this is considered late, but better late than never! Congratulations! It's awesome the show also won for Best Drama woohoo!
He and Brian Cox absolutely owned their roles in season 2 (and 1, to be fair). I still remember Logan's outburst at dinner during the hunting trip and Kendall's speech in the finale

About to finish season 1. The first two episodes were a chore; it was good...but just a quiet, multi-character study, and then it just starts to transform into this addictive and dark power struggle with so many well-written scenes. The characters are not very likable...but that's what makes it so great, nobody is spared with the brilliant writers. Brian Cox gets all the hype for the show but Jeremy Strong is just amazing.
Truly unique actor. I can't sing enough praise for his performance as Kendall. How he has managed to just get BETTER each season is mind-blowing. I thought he even surpassed this Emmy win with his Season 3. performance, which I did not think possible.
Wait!!!! Not now..Do yourself a favour and don't watch it yet. Wait till Season 3 is out because you don't wanna be tortured like I am right now in the sheer, amazing epicness of Season 2's cliffhanger. Best to watch it when Season 3 is out so you can go straight to it right after Season 2 and avoid the gut-wrenching wait. Succession is so fucking good.
You can hear the cheer in another room when the man in a hazmat suit knocks on the door with the Emmy and gives to his wife who then passes to him. He actually looks better out of character.
Jeremy has done such a great job! His Kendall is truly astonishing even though Brian scares and persuades me more! Brian is totally the one and only Logan. Good show to have both of them.
Always wonder why Jason Bateman not win this.. and just finished Succession and boy yes Kendall Roy deserves it. And Marty looks happy for him too.. more proud than Logan lol

if he doesn't win this year as well i'm gonna flip out because somehow he was even better in season 3. the birthday episode alone is enough to get him that award, not to mention that breakdown scene in the final episode
So in every interview and speech, the actors are EXACTLY the same as their characters. Is this lightning in a bottle? Really great long running schtick? I love it.
What a beautiful moment. Great to see such a great support system, Jeremy seems like a good, genuine person. Love Succession and his role even if he becomes kind of an ass
