I have a little 82 honda xl100 that's not running but I'm planning to get a bigger bike at some point soon. Really looking into getting a sur ron instead of a gasser.

Hi Edwin, I heard you speak about the surron in the podcast and looked up your YT channel. This thing is really cool. Unfortunately I don’t believe they are street legal in our country. ( only a 45 km/h version)

I feel like the surron needs better suspension. Looks a little rough. Is it rougher ride than a typical dirt bike suspension?

Oh yeah for sure the suspension is terrible compared to any dirt bike basically. A lot of people upgrade them with better mountain bike suspension but at the time they're all sold out

i feel like you can pretty much attribute the speed difference between those two just to tires and suspension. if you improved both of those on the surron you would really be competitive!

Is that the bike made by Segway or is that its own brand cuz I know the Segway one sucks and it seems like you had a pretty long ride on this and had some incredible performance pretty surprised

It is a heavily modified one. 72v battery and BAC 8000 helps it keep up!

I have a DB and a SR, There's no comparisons on enduro or mx tracks, dirt bikes shine/thrives over the ron's because of the size, weight, suspension and tires. That said the Ron's are even more fun than the dirt bikes on smooth MTB trails with flow and jumps IMO.. If you can find/ride any of those without getting yelled at...

If you do the wire cut for the sur Ron x to unlock its full power will the upgraded controller and battery from light speed still work?

I really don’t think so. So far it seems like everything they release leans towards the safe side of things rather than the performance side. But it’s easy to convert in the stock battery and controllers worth quite a bit so that helps bring the cost down I plan on doing a video about that soon
