The ultimate goal with this Razor SX500 electric dirt bike is to build a ridiculously fast street-worthy Electric Mini Supermoto. In this video, I'll be testing out different gearing combos and FarDriver tune settings to get closer and closer to my goal of someday hitting 70 MPH with this Mini.

So happy i could help with this! Thing is ripping and those rain runs where so sketchy lmao.. Maybe get a steering stabilizer 😅 ... and remeber line amps is more speed/accel and phase is torque/accel - agression/response (to a degree). Glad this thing did its job. That upgraded rotor from EnC supposedly unlocks a ton more rpm! Definitely considering it for my build aswell.

The hydro brakes from Ride or Die work very good. My son and I aren't hitting 66mph but from 31mph with my 180lbs on it and hitting brakes hard it def has no issues.

65 doesn't sound bad in a car, but its fast on a dirt bike and hyper speed on a pit bike. The closer to the ground, the faster it feels. It probably feels more like 100mph

I’ve never tryed the enc extreme brakes they look good but I’ve been using generic pit bike brakes from Amazon and they have a lot of stopping power, but when I wheelie they aren’t the best but they have good stopping power. Edit: but they have a lot of throw not that much ch catch and they don’t feel to to good but they have pretty good stoping power.
@diyadventures9138
@diyadventures9138 Месяц назад
Need to do the same run but on a flat road to get a more accurate speed. All your runs were on a down slope road, reaching top speed at the very end of the slope. Be careful, this bikes are very light, surprised no speed wobble.
@PatOutdoors
@PatOutdoors Месяц назад
@@diyadventures9138 yes, I need a stabilizer fabricated to the frame.. I’ll find a wider open road that doesn’t have too much traffic, just a bit hard to find in my area. I’ll have an update video when I turn the power up more and do another run on a different road to show you it does the same speed regardless..

I have a similar build and have zoom brakes and where way under powered for the speed but I upgraded the rotors to 220mm and the stopping power is night and day. I can easily lock up the tires with one finger. I was worried I was going to have to upgrade the brakes but just the rotors was plenty. Mountain bike brakes are fine with large rotors. The 220mm rotors do look kind of ridiculous, and I think 203mm would be fine. Still a huge upgrade to 160 or 180.
@PatOutdoors
@PatOutdoors Месяц назад
Thought about doing this, but larger rotors seem like it would for the caliper out to make contact with the RSF wheels. Do you have RsF wheels? I can see how that would work on an MX650 wheel though

USE PIT BIKE BRAKES (THEY ARE FOR REAL MOTORCYCLES, NOT BICYCLES) You can do a full set for less than the E+C MOUNTAIN BIKE BRAKES and AMAZON has ALL the parts. You need 51mm hole space for rear caliper, left hand lever- ATV 10mm banjo master cylinder for rear, 55.1mm brake line with 10mm banjo fitment, the front brake comes completed as a monkey bike dual piston setup already bled with the hole spacing you need for the front forks you put on. Generally stock razor is 51mm but it is smaller spacing for pit bike forks. And the only other thing you need is the thicker rotor which is used on the mega moto 80 mini bike from factory as well as other mini bikes... These brakes have slowed me down from 65mph hundreds of times. They are very stout, bleed easily, make the bike look like a REAL vehicle, and the rotors are literally .5mm off on hole size so a quick step bit for the mounting holes would make it easier, although you don't actually HAVE to drill them for them to fit. I fir one without drilling and its a tight fit but still works. Drilling makes it so easy to mount and torque the bolts... DON'T get Electro brakes or ANY MORE MOUNTAIN BIKE VARIATIONS... GET THE DIRT BIKE PIT BIKE BRAKES AND YOU WILL SAVE YOUR BIKE, YOUR SAFETY, AND THE TROUBLE FROM MESSING WITH UNDERPOWERED STUFF FOR BICYCLES!!

I have pit bike brakes on my MX650 with larger rotors and yes, they do stop very well in comparison.. but I just don’t like the feedback feel with the lever. I’m trying to find an in between solution like 4 piston calipers and maybe 203mm rotors
@Epsonblade
@Epsonblade Месяц назад
@@PatOutdoors There are some GROM upgrade kits out there with fancy billet aluminum rotors and the calipers are pretty stout. Im not sure I understand though, with my dual piston pitbike brakes, either front or rear, I get some decent feedback from them. What kind of lines are you running on that setup, and did you size the master cylinder to your application? Largest rotors are always best. I wonder how big we could actually go on these bikes. I run 180s from the minibike setups. Theyre about 2.5mil thick and I feel like I could go up a few mm but unsure where to find bigger ones with the right bolt pattern.

I run a 10t on the motor and a 47t on the wheel, Enc recommends a 1:8 up to a 1:15 that just seems krazy to me, I use a website called blocklayer they have the best chain calculator around and many others if you have a jack shaft, it will give you the speed correction, it takes chain size into consideration worth a look, I really just wanted to know what your front sprocket was a 9 or 10? So i could punch it in the calculator and see your motor real motor rpm.
