@sean23444 because bringing a train or a bus into a station is exactly like landing a 400 tonne aircraft carrying up to 624 people in weather like that...no pressure or anything.
@sean23444 People also applaud when you land in Puerto Rico. I guess that it is just the mentality of the natives who are appreciative of the pilot for landing safely.
@sean23444 when they have like a problem with the aircraft and they are forced to land the pilot tells them and when they land people start to clap because the pilot did a good job of it
@sean23444 In fact, I thought that happened just on TACA flights and that people from my country had that behavior...but no!!! It happens all over the world!!! (maybe they're happy cause they landed alive???)
@sean23444 well i guess its because they made it home safely or something! I mean, imagine, if there was big trouble, like engine fire on the plane and you land safely on ground, would you clap? I would! Cause I'm glad I DIDNT DIE!
