I finished 75Hard almost a month ago and restarted and am on day 10. I lost 35 lbs. This program has totally transformed me not just mentally and physically but spiritually as well. God bless both you and Andy!!!

For my diet, I’ve just made a few rules, like avoiding sweets and soda while eating more protein/calories. I can still eat pizza or McDonald’s moderately, and I say it’s fine because I’m young and my metabolism has always been too good. I also live with my parents and don’t want to make them buy a whole diet plan for me. I hope it still counts😕. When I’m in the kitchen, I have to walk past a bag of cookies and Pepsi and resist so I say that increases mental toughness. Update: I restarted it and now research before I eat food from places. No McDonald’s or unhealthy pizza.
The rules on the app didn't say the workouts had to be several hours apart. I went to the gym and ran home in the cold instead of taking the subway. In my opinion, I'm not starting over. I managed my time and scheduled the time to run. Some may disagree.
It is very clear on his website and the Q&A answers it on the app. There is a discipline and metabolic reason for spacing out your workouts. You can do what you want, but who are you or I to start making substitutions? I am not at Andy or Emily's level, so if i want to strive to be at that level than i would do it as prescribed. Not knowing is fine, but now we all do know.
Thanks for the recommendation! One that I haven't heard anyone mention that is a well-known book, and the basis for much of what we hear in all self-improvement and wealth building is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Such an underrated read! I'm making it required annual reading for my kids over 8th grade.
I'm on day 3 and realized that I already messed up be I had fast food this morning. But I'm glad I was only on my 3rd day. But the audible book one is what I usually do. I'm doing the reading on my phone now for this challenge but I do feel that audible books does help me with reading too.
I actually don't have that time with the break in between because I have to be at work really early. So I'll be doing these workouts all in one. But only on the days I work.
Hello Emily, thanks for the video. I am finishing the book this weekend and starting the 75 hard on Tuesday. I know it is 75 continuous days but you spoke of deferent phases. That part is not in the book. Do you or Andy have any videos explaining the different phases that would make this a year round program? Thanks in advance for your help.
It doesn’t have to be that serious. Just be honest with yourself and get after it. Force yourself to EARN it! If you feel like you half-assed your 45 minute workout then extend it by however long necessary ‘til you feel like you’ve achieved 45 minutes of quality.
Thanks for sharing! Question if you purchased chicken marinated with alcohol, is that allowed? Probably not, right? Just realized after getting it home lol. But have some other chicken at home to cook 🙌
My advice is: when you ask yourself if it is aloud - don't eat it. Keep it Simple but hard. Done 75 hard and phase 1 myself. Best thing I have done so far.
I feel like this is a silly question but I don't want to do something thinking it's ok....Is a Kindle book the same thing as an ebook? I don't have a Kindle but I think I can download an ebook to my tablet.
I can’t get a clear answer, do the 2 daily workouts need to be separated by time? For example, if it takes me 45-50 mins to bike to the gym, and then 60 mins in the gym, and then 45-50 back, all in one succession, some are telling me this does not count?
I'm on day 31 and in my premenstrual cycle and the soreness and tiredness is REAL!!! What tios would you give for that or dealing with chocolate cravings? Thank you so much, this video was very insightful.
this really helps bc I thought if I had anything sweet at all then I had to start over... bc I added creamer to my coffee so I thought i failed, I had a few dark chocolate chips and thought I failed... :/ I dont have a huge sweet tooth but when I'm telling myself I cant have it I'll go eat a whole piece of cake. Or if I had a soda or sweet tea I thought I failed. Goal is little sugar as possible I suppose.@@emily_frisella
Can you add FLAVORLESS electrolytes to the gallon of water?? I really need to know. - My muscles are twitching. I realize I can take them separately but the question remains. - Adding flavorless electrolytes doesn’t make the water any easier to drink.
Imo, if you have to ask if you can ....(do something) - it's likely to be a no. The terms and conditions of 75Hard is no substitutes or tweaks to the rules, and adding electrolytes (regardless that they're flavourless) is a tweak.
Jah Nell the answer of no i’m totally prepared for and understand, but there are some concessions and Andy says to use “common sense.” - Two examples of this is that Andy clearly states in the podcast (31:08 mark) that ebooks are not allowed, then in the book says they are. - Also, alcoholic wine for the sake of communion is allowed pg.188. - So i think it’s still a reasonable question since not everything is cut and dry. Is it common sense that one can add flavorless electrolytes since it doesn’t affect the taste of the water, or is it common sense to say of course you can’t. - yah know?
Would it be ok if I were to read a book about the economy tok instead of just entrepreneurs books? I’m reading this one book at the moment on what the economy is for
@@ThaDevilsAcceptance yeah same I was so nervous tho-first week I was all over the place with meals but towards the end I meal prepped for the week ahead I get bored of chosen snacks and I’ve had tk up my calories as 130” is too low. I’m in the groups etc but this video was insightful for me I’m always learning new tips. I wanted to eat a bag a crisps so badly
I was looking at doing this a while ago and I put it off and put it off. I was cleaning my house today and I just decided now is the time. I start tomorrow 😂 🤷♀️
it depends on how strict you want to be, if you're resting for 15 or 30 seconds and then starting the next set of exercises I wouldn't nitpick over that but if you are waiting 2 or 3 minutes you probably should look at what you can do in between sets that's keeping your heart pumping/exercise. it's suppose to be 45 continuous minutes so you wouldn't do 20 minutes of weight lifting and then a 5 minute break and then a 25 minute walk if that makes sense
PLEASE COMMENT SOMEONE I am doing the 75 hard !! And I am only 112 pounds I’m 5,6 yes underweight HENCE why I need this but for the water is 4L to much for someone with that hight and weight ???
Hey Elisabeth! No that’s not too much water, just make sure you’re getting enough trace minerals and sodium! Don’t eat a low sodium diet and drink that much water, you’ll pee out everything important. Good luck! I’m doing 75hard and my biggest diet goal is to gain weight too haha!
In my chat group, we had a petite woman who decided 1 gallon was too much water. Later, she decided that her job, which required her to move a lot, counted as her indoor workout. Later, she decided to modify something else. In a few weeks, she was doing something that looked nothing like 75 hard and she started to say she wasn't seeing any progress. It just started with one little modification. I started the program in really bad physical condition after working from home for 2 years and not leaving the house for days at a time. I did very gentle workouts at home and walked for my outdoor workout. I dropped so much weight that everybody around me noticed. Even friends I saw on a weekly basis noticed the difference. But people who hadn't seen me in a month or two were shocked. Best of luck in your journey. Consult a doctor if you have medical questions.
I will only say one thing about nutrition, so I have a bachelor's degree in nutrition, someone is not technically qualified or legally allowed to give nutrition advise unless you are a registered dietitian. BUT you can give very basic over all healthy eating advice without one. You just cannot prescribe a diet without being an RD.
No exact diet is prescribed. I’m sharing what I’ve done. And with the program guidelines you’ll see to consult you physician or professional before starting.
I love seeing comments from gubmint-worshippin’ statists. You’ve become so brainwashed that you actually believe that a degree inherently reflects competence; one MUST be an expert with letters after their name. HUR! HUR! This fallacious argument essentially saying that a piece of paper trumps experience... 🤦🏻♂️
Emily: "You don't want to be going through the McDonald's drive-thru, clearly" Me:😶 oops, I left my chicken chili at home, I get to start again at day 1 because my 8 year old said, “happy meal, please”. Damnit I forgot my level 1 at home
I'm in a chat group with a bunch of people and some of them are doing IF. One even started IF because he was not able to eat after drinking a gallon of water.
I might be too late since you wrote this a month ago- but the two 45 min workouts dont need to be cardio. On days where you're feeling really sore do yoga (theres really good stretching youtube videos for beginners that are super fun!) And then you could go on a walk for your second workout! Hope this helps :)
if a diet coke and a few sugar free chocolate chips are allowed then I dont see any harm in having natural peanut butter. bc the ones at the grocery store (peter pan) have tons of sugar.
