In a world overrun by short form content and 5 second attention spans, this was an absolute breath of fresh air. So calming and introspective. you are a very special human my dude.
I am on day 75 of the 75 hard challenge and I just realized that I was not able to fill the potential of the challenge. I feel like I was missing the intention, the discipline outside of the challenge, the focus on myself. I did the challenge with a friend, and I am definitely healthier and physically in a better shape than before, but mentally not much has changed, and I think the problem is that I kinda let go of myself outside of the challenge. I was disciplined enough to go workout, but not to do all the other stuff that needed to be done. You just made me realize that I could have got more out of it if I was more intentional with the challenge, more reflective and maybe also more aware. Really appreciate your video, it has helped me see more clearly!
I appreciate you commenting, thank you! Please don't discount what a huge feat it is to complete this challenge at all and the fact that you've proven something big to yourself in terms of exercise at the very least!
im on day 71 and i even if im not done i couldnt be more proud of myself. ive never been constant and disciplined in my life but this changed me so much that i even trained 3 times a day. thank you for this video, i feel the same. with this i started to love myself and be grateful to have a body that allows me to do whatever i want. and you explained it very well.
I’ve heard about the 75 Hard challenge several times, but the way people talk about it makes it feel impossible and unattainable. So thank you for telling us about the process and how it felt for you, truly inspiring! Happy for you for staying with it and staying disciplined!
Thank you so much! As I said in the video, my circumstances are definitely optimal ones for this challenge and I would never want anyone to feel bad for not being able to replicate it, but I am proud of myself for completing it nonetheless! Thanks so much for watching and commenting😄
I feel like we're kindred spirits in a way because I told my fiancé that I knew when I "made it" financially because I was able to treat myself to fresh berries each week for my breakfast. It was also rare to get them as a kid for me (they are expensive!) so it truly feels like a treat every day. It's such a small thing but it makes me so appreciative for where I am in life. Also I loved how you closed your eyes as you described sitting up against the radiator reading as a kid, as if you could imagine yourself again in that exact spot. I have the same type of memories. Reading as a child is such a special experience, it truly stays with you your whole life. Would love to hear more about the books you love!
Here from insta. So excited already, your video style and pure interest and explanation. I have been getting into fitness seriously for the first time in my life. So motivating!
You are absolutely incredible. I'm astonished by the way you talk and the way you have designed the video. It's relaxing, satisfying and motivating all at once. Looking forward to watching all of your future content! 🎉
Thank you so so much for these kind words, it means so much that you not only watched the video but really engaged with my vision and received it as I hoped people would! I really appreciate you watching and hope you continue to enjoy future content just as much!
Great content David. I had a similar experience. It's about mental toughness, discipline, and good habits. The toughest part for me was the water and disturbed sleep, so going forward I am looking at 2 liters, a 45-minute workout, and a good night's sleep. I started 75 hard on June 1st, turned 76 years old on the 26th, and lost 20 lbs. I shared my experience in a video on RU-vid
I love the way you speak. Your message is clear and it’s not rotting in cuts, background music etc. I feel at peace watching and listening to you. Love it
Was shocked when saw that this channel is so new, looks and sounds so pro! Your voice, the way you talk and the general atmosphere is just amazing-so calming, reassuring and kind! Can’t wait for the next video
Wow God had me in mind when he created you :). Thank you for posting this video, 1.) Walking is SO UNDERRATED. When I started the 75 hard, I scheduled walking during my lunch breaks at work and I still walk during my breaks even though I didn't complete the 75 hard all the way. 2.) Drinking the gallon of water was the hardest because I found myself having headaches on my 3rd liter. 3.) I like your point that the progress photos improved your relationship with yourself. That's a beautiful triumph to reach with this rule. 4.) When you lose interest in reading it’s so interesting because you want to read but you lose that motivation and then when you start reading again, you don't want to put books down. Overall, it sounds like the 75 hard really made a positive change in your life which is amazing. Kudos to you for completing this challenge and thank you again for posting your experience. *New subbie*
It's incredible how the sun came out specifically and warmed the set and your face when you lit up speaking about your favourite breakfast and the delicious raspberries!!! Lovely!
I really admire your style of talking to the camera. No uhmm, mhmm, ehmm or stuttering. Just pure value. You are definitely a great speaker. Also you haven’t repeated yourself. All that makes the listener want to listen to you. Not to mention, you’re really easy on the eyes! I just know by looking at your face that you have great humor and personality! Keep going! I will do this challenge aswell, because I am a businessowner and I want to have better mental toughness and mental discipline. Thanks for the inspiration!
I kind of teared up when you talked about the fact you didn't eat raspberries as a child and I totally get what you mean. We had the same 10 cent canned pate on our sandwich for lunch for years because my mother couldn't afford anything else. Bless her for doing all she could to get us out of that situation and giving us everything now I'm Feeling so blessed to able to choose what I want to eat now and prioritise my health .anyway sending you hugs!
i’m so glad i found your channel! i’m having an eczema flare up right now on the back of my neck and i feel like i needed to see this. keep thriving ‼️
The fact that you walked the walked and didn't tell anybody about it makes it a lot more respectable. Thanks for this video! I enjoyed it from beginning to the end
As someone who's never seen your channel before, this appeared when I search Hard 75, and I just watched the whole video and was amazed. I love this format, and how calm and well-toned you spoke of this challenge. No filler words like 'erms' or 'ahhs' which is very impressive. So inspiring to see the outcome of the challenge and what it's done. Great video, Sir.
David, thanks for giving your comments on 75 Hard. From someone that doesn't know anything about you, your delivery in the statement "you deserve to show up for yourself" resonates. Stay strong bro!
I'm on day 21 doing my 75# HARD..it's my 3rd time....2x last year and then now. Was listening to this and ur 1 amazing, intelligent person..and much more..Hugs from South Africa 🤗❣️
About to start doing 75 hard myself, and I’ve been doing research. Your video was a different perspective from most videos I’ve particularly been recommended. Giving me a good headspace before going into this!! ❤
I have watched many "after" videos of 75 Hard and I love this the most! The best was the list of food treats when he finished. This is the most honest video and sooooo me!!! Can't wait to start!
just found your channel and it's a wonder how i didn't find it before. I'm sure you'll be one of those that quickly blow to the top. Remember to maintain your identity when you do. Consider me a subscriber as of now.
Thank you so much, I could never change with lovely people such as you uplifting and supporting! Whether or not my channel gets big, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your praise and support🙏🏿
Got my subscribe. Brilliant story teller! Starting 75 Hard in 3 weeks when summer wedding season is over, excited to put my self through hell and document the journey
This was such a good video thank you for being so vulnerable and honest with your journey. I’ve been thinking about doing 75 hard for a few months now and this was the push I needed. Appreciate you!!
"because i was so used to doing everything properly in life" . THIS IS THE KEY PEOPLE. This is something that successful people do whatever their profession or walk of life. If you can train out the half ass-ing and giving it just enough to scrape by you will make a change but from first hand experience i know this is very hard to do especially when it's your own nature you're fighting that is trying to self sabotage you every step of the way.
I found you on tiktok and this podcast was definitely listening to! I tried your breakfast/yoghurt bowl recipe and it is literally the best thing I have ever eaten! 😋
I am so grateful you took the time to make this. I love the way you speak and I loved your insights and sharings even more. Thank you for your creation.
This has to be the cleanest and most easy to follow video I've come across in a long time Your speech comes across as very well organised, articulate and precise, with excellent spacing for me to process what you've said as you speak
This was a wonderful video, David. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I've attempted the challenge half-heartedly a couple of times, and watching you now, I realise that it's because I just wanted to look good and tell myself I could be disciplined if I really tried, versus using it as an opportunity to really develop deep self-love. You've inspired me to do it next year, for the right reasons this time. Thank you 😊
came across ur reel on IG , came to watch and it did not dissapoint! highly enjoyed it! on bit of a break from academics right now so i feel like i could do this challenge!
As others I came here from Insta. I love love love how you talk. No filler words, no ah or uh. May I ask you how you became such a calm and precise talker?
Thank you so much! It's definitely come with practice over time. As I've become more confident in myself as a creator and in life generally, I've also learned to believe in the validity of my voice and speak with calmness!
I rarely comment on videos. I must say I got so hooked watching your video - the way you speak and what you're talking about absolutely astonishing and interesting! Your deserve much more attention - keep up the amazing work brother!!
Thank you. As someone who just heard about this today this was huge. Congrats on accomplishing it. I am someone who does almost none of what you said, so I'm gonna work my way up, but this sounds like something that can get my ass in gear which I really need so I'm looking forward to it.. plus 27:00 man that just made me have a moment. I've said a lot of things in the past 20 years (I'm 42) that was going to make my life go to the next level.. and I've done none of em.. so needless to say my view of myself has dwindled a lot over the years ..
Thanks so much for commenting. I really hope you’re able to see the good things about yourself, of which I’m sure there are many - for starters, you’re kind enough to comment on a stranger’s video and make their day. Wishing you all the best on your journey🙏🏿
This was an amazing video that captivated me until the very end. Thank you for your dedication and summary for the 75 Hard Challenge. This inspired me to do the 75 Hard Challenge myself, or start out small before just jumping off the cliff :) I am thankful for the RU-vid recommendations that I get because this video is AWESOME! I also remember seeing the intro to this video in a tik tok so I'm glad to have gotten the chance to watch the content itself. Amazing work here! Can't wait to see what you do in the future.
You're such a wonderful speaker, your voice is lovely to listen to and you seem like the nicest lad! Well done on this challenge, and it's so great how you see the benefits from the entire experience. Cheers from Portugal!
That was so chill and that beginning with breaths and that there was no music, just you and me, made it kinda relaxing to watch. I got some good thoughts from that video so thank you
Fresh start of the year; this kind of content is exactly what inspires me to push further with the right mindset. Will be seeing more of what you do for sure, greetings from Spain
I just started 75 hard a couple of days ago. So I was looking around on the internet and I came across your channel. It's very insightful. I like how you waited till after the challenge to post about it. I just subscribed to your channel, I'm looking forward to more content. Thanks and Happy New Year..
Congrats for the valuable and inspiring content you're putting out there without falling into the toxic vices of self development iceberg. Just discovered your channel and its really a gem among all the overly simplified solutions out there. Also congrats for the challenge.
I’m new to your channel and I am really glad that I discovered your channel! Your content is really inspiring and informative. Great tips for 75 hard challenge’s beginners! Probably I will do 75 soft challenge because I’m not a freelancer. It might be challenging to eat lunch alone..😢 The way you talk makes people really focus. I rarely can concentrate on something like this long.. but I finished your video. Appreciate you sharing your experience! (ps. I know you are doing podcast but I also wanna watch your vlog!)
Hello from brazil and straight from tiktok! Your video made me think on how we need to show up for ourselves! I don’t think a can do this 75 challenge now, but I’m confident I can do better choices to improve my wellness. Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us! ❤🫶🏽
i just found this challenge and realized that all of the stuff except for a gallon of water i hv alrdy been doing. go to gym at 5am and worjout for like 1.15hr and then walking bfr sleeping for like 1.5hr and the change it has brought in me mentally z abig thing
this video was beautiful 😄 but the fear of doing such an intense challenge and keeping it up after the fact is what I think is the hardest part.. I wanna try but the sustainability just isn’t making sense..
I don’t really believe working out twice a day is realistic or needed but I’d like to replace one of those workouts with a cold shower or something would be cool to see. Massive respect regardless for killing this challenge
Duudee you are AMAZING! Personally ive just go out of school and not ready to start college and recently ive found myself a bit lost, like i dont know what to do with my life and that i would need to change my habits or i would lose myself. This video right here gave me a direction and motivation to change my habits and one and for all make a real change in my life. I trully thank you sir. All the love, All the power!
Well done! How was it with no alcohol? Can imagine in some social circles navigating this can be quite tricky. Liked the message at the end - about valuing oneself. Good stuff, well in.
I really love the part where you challenged yourself to have breakfast every single day and recognize how important it is to fuel your body properly even when it‘s easy to just not eat in the morning. I feel like a lot of people would have rather challenged themselves to do intervall fasting in order to lose weight. But that‘s not what this is about, it‘s about doing what‘s best for your body, not what makes you consume the least calories.
