How does the rear Lokka handle driving on pavement? I have one in the front and absolutely love it. Now I want to put one in the rear, but I hear mixed opinions about pavement driving, especially in rain and snow.
Off road, dirt roads, highways it’s perfectly fine. Around the suburbs and cities it’s pretty annoying. It clunks sometimes, it bangs sometimes, there’s no differential action. It’s always switching between which wheel it wants to drive when going around corners so the engine rpm will randomly go up and down depending on which wheel it’s driving. If your on a steep hill it’ll stay locked so if your on a steep driveway with curve in it it’ll squeal the tyres all the way up. It’ll just lock randomly depending on how much pressure is on the diff. Having said all that. It truly is amazing offroad. No need to lock and unlock it. It always works seamlessly. You don’t even notice it’s there.
@@andrews7046 Thanks for the reply. I am still on the fence about putting one in the back. The only other option is an air locker for $1500. That is a chunk of change :-)
@@mikethemike6406 yea I would definitely go the air locker if I knew then what I know now but it was cheap and I was able to install it myself and for what it costs it works extremely well offroad. Just depends on what your budget is like I guess.
