You look at those old highlights, and DANG Clyde could get off the ground. I don't know what his official vertical was, but in games it looked like he had all the bounce.
Clyde Drexler one of the underrated guards that ever played in the NBA he took Portland Trail Blazer's to the championship twice and finally got him a championship in 95 with Hakeem Olajuwon...Clyde Drexler wasn't know scrub he's one of my favorite NBA players also Hall of Fame player and top 50 players ever
Clyde was like a combination of Earl the pearl Monroe and Dr J put together in a 6'7 " frame and he had a great court vision along with being a underrated passer finding open teammates in traffic. He was a dominant right hand player that could finish left off of either leg going to the basket as well
BEST REBOUNDER IN HISTORY TOO. WADE IS BEST BLOCKER IN HISTORY. I DUINNO IF OSCAR IS COMBO SG CAUSE HE PLAYED MORE PG, SO I CANT COUNT HIM OR WESTBROOK.
Clyde Drexler is my favorite player of all-time. The very first NBA game I watched was the San Antonio Spurs vs Portland Trailblazers in game 7 of the 1990 western conference semifinals. I've been hooked on the NBA ever since, and Portland was my favorite team from 1990 to 1992 before I became a Miami Heat fan the 1992-93 season.
Greatest dunk I saw him do was against Louisville in the tournament. He went up high and far away from the basket with one hand and finished on a double pump 2 handed jam. Amazing to this day.
He had similar numbers to jordan execpt in points and shot attempts. Clyde shot 16 times a game compared to jordans 40 times a game. Clyde is also the only guard in history to have over 2000 offensive rebounds
As a kid that grew up in Portland and still lives here today at the age of 40, Clyde was my first love! I always wondered as a kid all of 7 years old what Clyde and Jordan would’ve looked like on the same team. They’re the players of today, plus sized height and extremely athletic build. They would’ve been a nightmare. But I would have to say Drexler 22 was my fave Blazer and Brandon Roy #7 would be a close 2nd w/ Sheed30 or Lillard 0 rounding out the pack. I ❤️ PORTLAND
we should stop saying he is underrated all the time, Clyde was on the real dream team, he had a well deserved ring and was the second best player behing the goat in 1992. i love him, a true gentleman
2nd best 2-guard of the 90’s. Clyde actually became historically underrated IMO because his prime ran smack dab in to Jordan’s. And because of what happened in the 92 finals, which I think has become overblown throughout the years. Clyde averaged just around 25,8 and 5 on 40% from the field and was a 4th quarter collapse from Portland taking Chicago to a 7th game in that series. What gets lost, is that Clyde actually won a title while still playing at a high level, on the 95 Rockets. To me, Clyde was in what may have always been his ideal role, as an outstanding #2 along side #1 Hakeem. Clyde should be getting AT LEAST the same amount of respect and admiration that Reggie Miller gets.
Clyde was as athletic as Jordan. But he lacked that killer instinct or clutch shooting ability that Jordan and Kobe, Magic, Kareem(yeah, Kareem), West and Bird were
jordan and kobe shot 40 times a game compared to clydes 16. Clydre relied more on his teammates and drexler has more offensive rebounds as a guard thenanyone else in nba history over 2000 and nobody is even close
@@dysfunctional4912 clide was better than kobe then? What about Dwayne wade?? What about kawai???? Is clide better then lillard? What about penny hardway???
