Moses Malone, one of the most imposing big men in NBA history, dominated the boards like no other. Malone was a 12-time All-Star and 3-time league MVP during his Hall of Fame career.
I love the fact that they showed footage from his days in Houston. Yes he won a ring in Philly, but the man was dominant during his time in Houston. 2x mvp winner, NBA rebounding leader, all star. Yea him and Doc made a great duo but Houston is where he really made himself known in the league. I wish @nba would show more of that footage aside from the 1981 season. RIP Moses
@@miskwaad They were not without McAdoo. The 76ers had a compromised Clem Johnson, though, so there is that. As for Nixon, he got the worst end of a collision with Toney in game 1. Which is to say, he was SOFT. See, the Lakers were a fabulously talent laden team but when they encountered adversity, sometimes they folded their tents and couldn't COMPETE at a high level. That's how they got swept in the Finals again in 1989.
Moses and Artis Gilmore are two guys who could almost humiliate Kareem. I remember the early 80s, and they could make Kareem look bad at times. I am stating that as a big fan of Mr. Abdul-Jabbar, by the way.
Brings a smile to my face every time I learn something new about Moses. One my fav basketball players. Unmatched work ethic and you just have to respect it.
Everyone in the NBA comes to play. Mosses was the ONLY man in the NBA who came to work...he should have come to the game with a construction lunch pale and sit it on the beach.
I was a huge Sixers fan back then & when we got Moses in 1982-3 ......from start to finish you just knew we going to win it all. We only got one though.
Watching a young Moses Malone so lean and springy is unreal... I thought he was Clyde Drexler in the Blazer uniform. But a legendary rebounder from the beginning
