I think those people might be doing it on purpose. Those kind of people are certainly out there. I get it at work even though everyone knows my new pronouns. It’s this sense of “I shouldn’t have to bother “ and minimizing how important it should be to me, right down to people just being jerkoffs. That’s it exactly, just wanting to be in your life. ❤️

Dang, dude. Misgendering sucks! And after you’ve corrected them. Pisses me off for you. That’s tough. I went to the local trans resource center and a homeless person referred to me as a “female looking person”. They were talking to themselves & had mental issues - just enough to say exactly what was on their mind, I recon. They also hit on me and ask me if I was gay or straight. I said both and left. I thought that might be one place that wouldn’t happen. Oh well. I think one day it might stop happening all together and I that’s ok by me. 🙂
And the person that called me “female looking” didn’t know me. So, was it the context of the trans center or would they have thought so outside the center?
One mo thang! I almost shaved. I have trimmed my little stashe and goatee and trimmed way to much stashe. Arg. I look almost Hitler/like. But I’m afraid of being misgendered so I’m hanging onto the weird little thing and hope it grows out before I make my 3 years on T vid!! And stopped dying it. Not sure about this ... but didn’t want to be that in his 50s guy with a black goatee and grey hair. Not sure it will last. Might just dye it all after a while. I can do whatever I want cause I’m the boss of me. You look great!
@@EarlCornbread I've been debating dye (or henna, maybe?) to just give me that little bit more contrast. I go back and forth, and then situations like this kinda push me. But in this instance, I doubt if anything would help these people.
Sorry you are being misgendered. I will most likely go through this at work very soon. I am officially coming out as trans at the college where I work on January, 2, 2019. A college-wide memo will be sent by the director of the HR department to announce my coming out. I will keep you posted. Wish me luck!

I'm over 2 years on testosterone and I still get misgendered all of the time. People who know me say they can't remember that I'm transitioning and sometimes I still get called ma'am by strangers. Hopefully someday that stops happening.
I got misgendered today and I wanted to bash my head into a window. It's soooo frustrating when we're now both like 2 years on T and we feel awesome......only for someone to ruin it by calling us she/her :( UGH! I feel ya with that annoying frustration.
I hear you. There are some people who've known me long time who continue to do it. I may have to point out the ridiculousness (to outside observers) to them.
Well. I think I haven’t being misgendered...maybe 2 or 3 patients...you know what? May look presumptuous, but I just don’t pay attention to it because I think that if we don’t really care, those persons will be more ridiculous and more if we pass perfectly! We may have white/grey hair and dark beard...look t me. So dye it man if you feel better
