If it was lifted a little, could the engine sit low enough so the hood scoop wouldn't be needed? I'd like to do a 4.8L LS Swap in my similar Datsun but I really want it to look as unsuspecting as possible.
Mike Soda anything is possible. The scoop was on my truck with the four cylinder. But I just made it functional. And I’m sure you already know If you don’t use the truck intake you should be good.
Hey Trevor Panther,I'm building a 1973 Datsun 620 That's been chopped and lowered and want to drop a v8 in it but I've been told I would have to redo my firewall and all to get it to fit.Just wanted to see what all you had to do to get the v8 in yours.
You can see the firewall and radiator support are both cut, you cannot get a v8 and radiator in these datsuns with out cutting something! I didn't have to cut firewall or radiator support for my V6 swap in my Datsun, I stayed away from a v8 swap, just didn't want to cut into truck. Check out my vids!
