Yup, 1979 with the tag for the brag: 79 for 1979 model year, 1AW80 for Chevrolet (1) El Camino (AW) pickup delivery (80), R for Arlington, TX assembly, 62D for Camel Tan interior trim, AV7 for 50/50 split bench seat, non-reclining, 69M for Dark Brown lower accent exterior color, 61U for Medium Beige upper exterior paint, and 11B for the second week of November 1978 production. The Arlington, TX plant still operates today and produces SUVs. We got the VIN, we win: 1 for Chevrolet, W for El Camino, 80 for pickup/delivery body, looks like H for 305 V8 with four barrel, RPO code "LG4", 9 for 1979 model year, R for Arlington, TX assembly and the rest is the production sequence. Yes, grab the tailgate, that will sell. Whatever you can save on this will likely sell. Since I started selling on Craigslist and FB Marketplace, I've counted at least 11 bicycles that I've found on the curb and flipped for a profit. That's among other things I've found at the curb and flipped (scooters, snowboards, etc.). That's gas and commuting money right there.
