7hz fans are a bit misleading and over hyping their products. they are not bad but they are not as good as the fans let it known and there are many options than 7HZ. i got into the hype trap for many of their products. i stick with tangzu moondrop and simgoat. The sonus is not engaging sounding. that's my take. every one is entitled to his opinion though. if you love it nothing else matters
I was on the fence about the 7hz Sonus and instead bought the Simgot EA500's on sale. I know these must sound great because they have had a lot of good reviews. I will say the EA500's are 16 ohms and are very loud and easy to drive. May get these in the future. Nice review!
Hell yeah, Sonus is my favorite set right now, I pick it up more than P5 and P8 even! There's something magical about how it hits those upper mids for me. Great review, not just because of my Sonus bias, but in general!
For someone who like to see what inside iem, love the transparent build even it's kinda make it cheap looking. Gotta agree with Kiwi Ears their iem so pretty & fancy. I want Cadenza but since it's not my type tuning preference I pass
@@PrimeAudioReviews i already own the QKZ x HBB og and looking for something better , i have simgot ea500lm and also salnotes zero 2 and not content with the bass i am having with those
It's almost end of 2023, would love to know whats the best iem with the widest sounsstage with good depth and height, at all the pricepoints? It's not usually covered by most reviewers... 😢 I know A4000 is one of the best, but are there any others which can finally dethrone em at a similar or lower pricepoint? Since its really difficult to achive at a lower budget...
Look if you forget about graphs, price, cables, dac’s, and amps. These are quite amazing for what they are. They sound really balanced and I actually like the bass with my foam tips, coming from a bass head with 2 12” subs in the car. I love these for gaming on my iPad Pro using a $7.99 2 in 1 3.5mm and usb c charger. I also liked these more than the ew200. Ew200 just sounded like a treble boosted iem that still sounds good but sonus much smoother.
I use a dongle with the same chipset as the moondrop dawn pro and these really don't even need it. They're easy to drive but using a dongle with a good dac chipset brings it out a little more. Theyre a fantastic value. I feel like I'd have to jump to the ea1000 to get a worthwhile upgrade
Happy that more and more reviewers and consumers are experiencing how good these are! Kinda like that they weren't hyped when they released, so that any praise they get will be more organic. I legit was worried I was gaslighting myself into believing that they were as great as I thought they sounded. These are my favorite that I own and have become my reference sound signature. I definitely agree with your take on the treble - sparkly and detailed while still being smooth and not fatiguing. The midrange is really clean to my ears, which is probably my favorite thing about them. And the bass is just right for what I want - no bleed into the midrange, but with good thump and enough quantity. I also have the EA500, Fudu, S12 Pro, and a few others, but these are my "only keep one" IEM. And thankfully, I love how they look! And though there are other more premium feeling sets, I never felt like they felt budget in-hand. But yes, the ribbon can be finnicky at times, but I kinda like them - feels solid and well-built.
Haha. Love these as well for the same reason. Bought them right on release by accident and I do not regret it. I'm glad paypal messed up and placed the order without me 😂
@@PrimeAudioReviews How do Sonus compares to Truthear Hexa. And what be your recommendation for gaming IEM around $50-60 or if needed can stretch the budget bit up.
@KING_DRANZER yeah, don't blow your money on overhyped Hexa. Get Sonus or Kefine Delci instead. Re: gaming, they're all good for that. I'd recommend whatever gives you the best fit and accessories.
Have em in Red. Only thing I disagree with is the feel. Although not premium, I think they feel and look nicer than most $20-30 sets. Right on as far as SQ and signature goes. They pretty fire for their price! Especially in RED! lol. Nice review as always!
"Despite the ribbon style it does tangle quite easily" Are you using the over under coiling method? Ribbons are much slower to over under but I find they're MUCH more neat.
The only IEM that I have is the OG Moondrop Aria, I changed the cable a year ago for the openheart and they broke already, so instead of getting a new cable I've been thiking on getting a brand new set of IEM's. At first i found the Aria too bright but then got used to it and think they arre great overall. Now I've been looking between the Zero 2, TRN Conch, Simgot ew200, KZ ZS10 PRO X, and the Sonus Needs to be under US$50 because of taxes in Brazil
i wonder what IEM could complement the EW200, something with slightly lesser treble but with good sound separation, resolution and decent bass. Would the tinhifi c3 or the kiwi cadenza be good options?
